They DID make a “hover Cadillac” in the TMNT toy line. It was called: “The Footcruiser” I had it. I LOVED it. It actually stuck around longer than most of my other TMNT toys and was driven by characters like Wolverine and the X-men, Luke Skywalker (to show Han that even if it’s not nearly as fast, it can look WAY nicer..), and the Silverhawks, just to name a few off the top of my head. There weren’t many play sessions that I wouldn’t try to incorporate that car into, as long as the figures fit well enough into it that they either didn’t look like a child behind the wheel or like a full size adult riding a “Power Wheels”... Thing is, unfortunately Playmates marketed and sold it as a “enemy vehicle” and they installed a weird “eyeball missile” launcher weapon (that resembled one of those “50 cal gun mounts with a shield” that are often seen mounted in the truck beds of small rebel guerrilla armies in South America and such.) that folded out of (what I suppose could be considered) the “trunk”, so it was at least easily hidden. It also could be a good “companion vehicle” if you have a similar sized Delorian Time Machine because the wheels fold underneath in a similar fashion for “hover/flight mode” when you’re going where “you don’t need... roads...” If you don’t mind a little wear or a few missing parts, they can be found in decent shape for around $30 or less..

Honestly, initially when I heard of Mighty Max, I thought it was the lamest name ever. Then I saw the show (and how the show pointed this out) and not only was the show self aware and smart, it was just REALLY good! I became a early fan. I would bring some sets with me to school, which they were obviously PERFECT for this. Anyone that laughed at my liking MM, I would ask them if they honestly ever watched the show, of course they always said “no” and I’d ask them to give it a chance, THEN make fun of me all they wanted to. There was one kid in particular I remember that I gave him the channel and time it was going to be on and asked him to watch just one episode all the way thru and not just one minute and change the channel. He came back to school the next week with a FEW Mighty Max sets in his backpack!! It became his absolute FAVORITE show!! He was from a wealthy family and he had his mom take him on “quests” all over town trying to find EVERY Mighty Max set he wanted. He invited me over after he was able to get the Skull Mountain playset to show it off to me. He also thanked me for convincing him to watch the “greatest show ever with the absolute lamest name ever” as he described it. When the last episode aired, but we didn’t know at the time it wasn’t coming back, we were both SUPER excited to see how the next season was going to handle the story from there. When we both learned it was cancelled, I was upset, but my friend... he was REALLY upset. For a kid that hated English classes, he actually took the time to WRITE letters to every company he could find that was involved with Mighty Max, from Mattel to the TV station that it aired on, and even the animation company, BEGGING them to bring it back. We lost touch after elementary school, but at least when I knew him, he wasn’t quite the same after his favorite show ended so abruptly. At least he was able to record most of the episodes onto video tapes before they stopped airing reruns.

Ahoyhoy There, Fellow KZreadrino! I like how you don't take too long to explain each franchise. Your words are easy to follow.

Iron Mountain was actually intended to be in the *first* year of Visionaries. It was in the 1987 Toyfair catalogue, but didn't make it to retail. It was absent from the 1988 Toyfair catalogues, suggesting it had been dumped entirely. Probably because the Merklynn hologram concept it's built around is impossible to make work even now.

Skeleton Warriors were so cool. Aracula is one of my all-time favorite sculpts. Curiously, the good guys were pretty hard to come by when the figures were first released. A few years after the toyline was cancelled, they started popping up in discount stores with minor variations on accent colors and accessories compared to the original run. It wasn't until then that I got the good guys. I wonder just how many variations are out there, as there were numerous crystal colors for each figure, and the discount store variations as well.

Hehe, back in the day I saw SO many (nowadays collectible and expensive) toys and playsets in the discount bins...I can still see them in front of me...there was one bin with multiple carded star wars figures for only 2 dollars, when almost nobody wanted these toys anymore. One time with my father in a toy store he offered me to pick either a star wars tie fighter (on discount for about 20 dollars) or a Lego airport playset.... It still haunts me sometimes why the heck I didnt choose the tie-fighter ;) I mean...after contructing the Lego, it all ended up as loose bricks in my Lego bin...

On the toxic waste dumping in real life there have been cases of waste disposal companies instead of disposing of the stuff legally would sump it in river ,off docks, burying it in landfills and construction sites etc. and keeping the money. That's why there are so many origins using this premise.

It's nice to get a little history lesson on some of the unreleased toys from our childhood. I'm still rotted over how visionaries was treated in the 80's because I think that cartoon was too ahead of its time and it was quite dark for a kids show and it really had a lot of promise but it all comes down to money. If it's not financially viable then it's not worth doing - personally I think it just got released at the wrong time and it would of had a lot more success as a show and as a toy line but oh well.

Visionaries was an amazing show. The humour was far above anything else airing at the time (although in some instances King Arthur and the Knights of Justice came close). They knew they were writing a toy commercial and decided to have as much fun with it as they could. The way Merklynn the Wizard would dick the knights around for no real reason other than to amuse himself, and the personalities of the Darkling lords like Mortdredd and Cindarr stuck with me. Especially the latter as Cindarr was a bad guy who wasn't actually bad, he was a kind and generous man who was doing bad things because his honour wouldn't allow him to break the oath he had given Darkstorm. That kind of character nuance was rarely seen then and is rarely if ever seen in cartoons today, either.

At least 4 Stellara's have been found and are of factory production quality. Two of them showing up in random figure lots on ebay UK. Coleco sold the remaining stock of Sectaurs to their UK division, so its by my understanding at least a case of Stellara's were produced and sold at discount in the UK. Theres also the super rare Black Dargon that was only sold in Brazil.

@@pascalcocco3499 I think it was not, because the cartoon was not shown at that time. Like i wrote, we could see the cartoon after the toys were canceled. Transformers Figures came together with G.I. Joe Toys about 1986. The Transformers Cartoon was shown short after that, but G.I.Joe not. Only the G.I.Joe Movie and a few Episodes on VHS under the Name Actionforce were released. That why the Joe's Toys vanished fast. MASK Toys came together with the Cartoon. As info, i mean cartoons shown on german tv with german language. - in the 80's we could also see Sky and Super Channel from the UK, that why many see, like me, all the cartoons (Transformers, GI Joe, MASK, Ins. Gadget, MOTU, Jace an the Wheeled Warriors, Robotech ...).

The My Little Pony toy I desperately wanted that was never produced was in the Petite Ponies line. They had micro ponies that came with various houses and playsets and advertised a snowcone maker. As a child, I kept looking for it, then, when I got back into collecting as an adult, was resolved to pay ANY price for this thing. I FINALLY found info on this thing at the now defunct Dream Valley site in the early 2000s, before the re-release and it was sad for me lol. More info on the petites line that talks about this a little can be found here: mylittleponyaccessories.weebly.com/petite-ponies.html It's the 'Ice Delight' cottage for anyone interested.
