Jenn - I haven’t followed you from the start, but seeing how you started in clothes and partying (based on your lessons from my 20s video) to advocating for farmers and showing your produce haul, it so mirrors my own life and I’m here for it! 😂 I was like wait - we ARE becoming our moms (I always nag my hubby to bring bags to the store 😂)

A little note on farmers' markets and organic and local food from someone doing a master in sustainable agriculture. The most important change you can make in your diet is reducing meat and animal product consumption. The biggest part of greenhouse gas emissions does not come from logistics but from what our diet actually looks like. However, if you want to take further steps farmers' markets are great of course, especially for reconnecting with where our food actually comes from. And for this it does not have to be organic if that is too expensive, just try to find what grows in your area and what is seasonal. It might even taste better! I do love your point about taking small steps. We do not all have to be zero waste vegans. Just find some nice vegetarian or vegan recipes for your weekly meal plan and adjust them based on the season.

Jenn, as a Nanny thank you for your gratitude and appreciation towards yours! In this profession it’s so hard to find employers who are not only professional and willing to pay well, but also respectful and EMPATHETIC! The amount of people I’ve worked for who have essentially viewed me as a maid, nanny, cook, personal assistant, (robot!) all in one is just so sad. I hope everything works out!

I’ve worked in child care for 14 years and I can say that walkers are not good. It doesn’t help an infant learn to balance. The best opportunities to give during this age is to grab onto things and pull himself up. I can understand that infants get upset when they are laying down on the floor wanting to get up. But the best thing to do is create those opportunities so he can developmentally work on standing and then eventually walking without having to hold onto anything.

Hi Jenn! :D I'm so glad you're opening up more and more to the mystical magical side of life! I was the same as you - very skeptical, closed-off. But through my self-love healing journey, I've opened up so much more, and through many synchronicities I now take tarot and astrology more seriously because they keep explaining things that happen in my life. I've also met a few rare people who were able to name exactly what my and my friend's zodiac was, me Aquarius and my friend Scorpio, my mind was blown because they were complete strangers who didn't know us, and to this day I still can't get over it! Also really love that Ben is getting into reiki, I am as well as holistic healing has been doing some incredible things for me and others I've met on my journey! I'm truly happy for where you are in life, this amazing family you now have, may you continue to experience more and more magic! Love you, Ben, and Lenny with all my heart!

I'm a huge fan of gardening and am totally inspired to get some worms because I know I am going to react to touching them the way you did at first, but you got used to them and using gloves were turning things around later! You're so right, too, tasting the food right from the garden, or getting to see a bunch of flowers come up each year is just such a treat and an immediate positive effect from hard work put in! Plus nature is awesome!

With the compost it's good to mix the veggies around and also dampen the pile. Decomposting foods can give off a lot heat and if the stuff dries out too much it can actually catch on fire.
