    Dehydrate food, or can for longer shelf life. Set your purchases to match sales and buy bulk, most meals involve staple meats most people already have. Set meals to match what's on sale that week. Most meat market areas in grocery store will have 'quick sales' on meats about to go out of date. Take home immediately freeze. Buy generic. dried beans are cheaper than canned. Talk to store employees, they can usually tell you which day of the week has the best sales/discounts. Shop real early or real late for finding discounts. always use store 'cards'

    Another way to get the air out of your ziplocked bags containing food is to submerge the bag slowly into a pan of water, and close the zip last as you have the water level up to it. The water pressure pressing against the object automatically squeezes the air out. Use freezer bags because they have thicker walls, even when you're only refrigerating it. They are more airtight. Of course, buy the generic brands. The vacuum pack device is the best way because it is more effective at removing air, but the machine is not cheap and the special plastic sheets are pricey, especially when you have to leave a large margin on the end.

    Correct, but drugs can also be good for your brain. Any drug used irresponsibly can be bad for you. I use marijuana to help treat my depression. I've been on anti depressants and the side effects were very bad for me. Marijuana might not be the best drug to treat depression, but it helps a lot and has practically no downsides so far. While saying something like "Drugs are bad for underdeveloped brains" is very true, you shouldn't post a comment like that without elaborating further because you'll scare people into thinking drugs are some horrible thing that will make you stupid, which is not the case.

    "it makes you think more" this is mostly how. I like reading, writing, and playing video games. It makes all 3 more enjoyable and easier (in fact, I can only write when I'm high, otherwise I just feel stupid and spend all my time hating myself). I try to make sure I'm at least slightly in the mood to read and what not, and then I'll smoke which will give me that boost to actually do things. Even when I'm feeling really depressed it can help make me more self aware about why I'm sad, and that makes me feel pretty good oddly enough. Sometimes it doesn't really make me any less depressed, but ultimately it usually gets me to learn new things, and do things other than just sit around, and that will always feel good to me later.

    Taco Shell Hack be like: don’t have ice? Freeze water!

  • @Luna.3.3.3
    @Luna.3.3.37 жыл бұрын

    Another 'hack' to elaborate on - buying meat in bulk, then freezing - ADD a bit of oil, salt pepper, spices or sauce before freezing. The oil helps it from becoming freezer burnt and pulling out meat that just has to be cooked without seasoning is a real time saver (so you don't have to think what to do with it.) This is especially great tip for CAMPERS! no seasoning to bring! It marinates while it thaws. Busy moms and busy ppl in general will find this helpful :)

    for the thing with the milk, as someone who works in that department please don't do that. in reality your making a mess and are just reaching for milk with the same date as the stuff in the front. all of that milk comes off of the same pallet so all of it has the same date. and if there is any difference then its only because its from a newer shipment but if anything the difference is a day. so please don't try to grab the milk from the back.

    Alternative to a vacuum sealer: put your food in a sealable bag, leaving about an inch of it open. Slowly dip the bag into water (I just fill my sink). The water will push the excess air out. When you've dipped it as far as you can, seal the last inch of the bag, and voila. Obviously it isn't as graceful as a vacuum sealer, but it does a damn good job!

    DO NOT get blue apron. Unless you have a shit ton of time in your hands it sucks ass, I tried it for a couple of weeks and the menu and food wasn't that great (trust me,I have experience with food) and I didn't want to waste my time to make the terrible meals. I canceled my subscription and they kept sending it to my house and charging my credit card. They are scammers who are trying to make profit. Like this so others can know the truth.

    Stock rotation is done for a good reason - it keeps food (or other perishable items) from becoming too old. Bypassing stock rotation may provide you personally with some short term gain (which to be honest is probably not much), but subsequent shoppers will have to deal with older product. If you're getting expired product when you pull the last item from the shelf, it could be because people are bypassing stock rotation.

    Fun Fact: When the expiration date hits on milk it is okay for much longer. So to combat this stores actually donate milk and whatnot to shelters and food pantries. But I forgot an elitist like yourself tend not to think.

    Fun Fact: I'm a disabled veteran living off less than 12k a year. When I buy milk, I drink it until I drink it all or it becomes too lumpy. If there are stores that sell milk after the best buy date, please share their names so I know where I can save money? Or you know...you can buy me the milk to prove you're not a full class ASSHOLE. You know, by saying I'm an elitist because I think people shouldn't be so self centered narcissistic that they dig through milk cartons to find the longest date because they think themselves more important than other consumers. Or you know...be yourself and show how big of a self righteous asshole you are. I fucking hate libtard cocksuckers like you. I bet you're one of those fucktards that think running in a 5k paint marathon actually helps disabled veterans like me.

  • @stephenh7336

    @stephenh7336

    Sorry...semantics...ok...what stores give away free milk in 'donations'? You live off food pantries for the first 19 years of your life...what american says 'food pantries'? So you're from where exactly? Also...the first 19 years...that implies you were given free shit until you were considered an adult and could earn for yourself.Then that leeching of free everything no longer applied to you. So now you're mad about it. The whole buying me milk thing was about proving you're not a self centered narcissist that would be willing to help out a disabled veteran. But I'm still not sure you're american so I doubt you'd be willing to help out my countries veterans.

    A chicken tender is a single strip of meat found under each chicken breast. They are a little different than cuting up the breasts into strips. For better flavor, try the leg or thigh meat instead. Sometimes they are less expensive, or buy a whole chicken and freeze the parts individually for later use.
