I live here in Vienna, Austria and my Austrian colleague thought that the Philippines is just pure jungles and unpaved roads. he was surprised when I told him we have 60-floor modern buildings and our roads have more lanes than in Austria
Filipino food has such a broad base underneath it, with native, Chinese, Spanish and American influences that there is going to be a wide variety of dishes that appeal to people. It certainly is a paradise for those who love fresh and varied seafood. I've been eating it for 47 years now, and can say that if you can't easily find at least a dozen dishes that you'll fall in love with then you have a heart that is already hardened and a mind that is impossible to open.
Why my heart melts when George said "the service industry WE HAVE here". The way he said WE HAVE, he can say THEY HAVE, it feels like he is a true Filipino. Awwww. I love you both, thank you for this. ❤❤❤
As a regular visitor from Australia, I agree with all you have said and I love the place.
The “Pogi” story is hilarious 😂
Dried squid and a san miguel is my kind of evening. And some lechon 😂
Been here 22 years. 59 provinces visited and 89 islands. Live in Davao and far better than Manila.
Agree! I have been to Philippines several times and was supposed to go to Cebu last Oct but had to cancel due to the pandemic. Im starting a business in Philippines and am looking forward to head there hopefully soon
"Don't under estimate the PH" very well said George and thanks for that😊
My Place here in the Philippines specifically ILIGAN CITY, MINDANAO ... we are stigmatise with the different news that are circulating in the national news and YES we have conflicts here same as all the places in the philippines but not the extent that gun fires and bombs can be heard monthly.... Sometimes the least visited place in the Philippines like where im living in, if not the most beautiful, well preserved culture is the what we call "DIAMOND IN ROUGH" .... no city in the WHOLE PHILIPPINES has 20+ waterfalls within the boundary/sq miles .... if you can please visit MINDANAO, i know the news shows that we are a conflicted area but in REALITY we are the most Harmonous ISLAND IN THE PHILIPPINES .... where MUSLIMS, CHRISTIANS and INDIGENOUS PEOPLE are living PEACEFULLY ....
you both are great tourism ambassador of the Philippines
thank God there are open-minded people like you that appreciate things that are real. i live in Ireland and i know people who have never traveled anywhere and just believe what they heard from one and generalize things.
My Husband is German and he Want to eat Filipino food compare to german Food ..
The misconceptions mentioned are really common among people not so familiar with our country and culture. And i give u credit for explaining things from your own experience and perspective. I can feel you really love the Philippines and that's what makes me more love u guys.. U and Making It Happen are my favorites!!!! ❤️ Pogi and Maganda!!!! ❤️ 😍 Happy new year!
As a Filipino , we would like to thank you guys, your vlogs show the other side of the Philippines mainstream media does not show, again maraming salamat po. Your vlogs help the less fortunate because it helps our tourism industry and the money these tourist pays on the stores, the tricycle driver, the hotel staff really helps a lot.
What make this legit is the Fact they they have been to almost everywhere in the Philippines than most Filipinos Can be in short "Lakwatsero sila" and they have the first hand experience. So I agree with all what they said in this Video.
"Don't underestimate Manila. Manila is awesome!" Thank you so much, Lucy and George. I'm from Manila now living in Canada and I miss my hometown. Take care.
i lived in the Philippines all my life--- but Lucy and George visited places more than I did lol
That's why I love George & Lucy ❤ Thank you for giving good and nice feedback about the Philippines and showing to the world the beauty of our country thru their vlogs 😍
