The Nucamp T@b I think is actually my favorite. I think they made the most of all the space and it still includes everything with a nice modern spacious feel. Thank you for doing this! It’s awesome to be able to shop by weight since that’s what a lot of people have to do when they already have a vehicle and then need to add a camper. Thanks so much for making this video!👍🏼

Nice review video. The NuCamp Tab 400 Solo is my favorite of these. I currently have the Forest River No Boundaries 16.5. Dry weight just under 3000, 20 ft long. It has a great u-shaped dinette at the front, surrounded by 3 very large windows, ideal for me because I always want to look outside at the view. The queen bed in the back also has 3 windows. It is very rugged built, great for boondocking.

This is an awesome review! We just bought the Coleman Latern LT 17B, identical floorplan to the Coachmen Clipper 17BH. It has a big shelf over the queen bed, an electric fireplace below the sink, the mircrowave is relocated over a slightly smaller fridge, and a window at the bottom bunk rather than the door. These little 17 bunkhouse trailers are amazing for a family with smaller kiddos!! I really appreciate your down to earth review of reasonable trailers that most of us common folk can actually afford and tow!

Regarding the first trailer’s stove positioning- totally makes sense because before you talked about it, we were saying how awkward it was that the door swings against the stove. But since the stove is on the other side, that leaves the door area free to go in and out. 🙌👍

I love the Nu Camp RVs, we just don't have any dealerships down here where I live. The designs are just so cool, with the window when you lay on the bed, nice ambulance feature and huge windows I love that it makes it so nice...And I don't mind the wet shower, live that little window in bathroom you forgot to show us, I could barely see, but usually they have like little vent type window..! Thanks..I didn't like any of the others..really in love with Nu Camp. Thank you for showing us around, appreciate it! I have a Forest River Independence Trail 172 BHDS, and it's under 3500 lbs. It has sleeping for 5 and a dining slide that adds a bit of room when extended. The bathroom is minimal but fine, and the storage is quite good. It's a starter model, but my two dogs and I have spread out room, and when my son and his young family use it, there's still plenty of room for them.

Nice roundup. I grew up with soft top trailers and Im not fond of the fold out beds on the hybrids. We have the older version of the Coachmen Clipper 17BH, a Coachman Northern Spirit17RD 3450 lb dry ( very similar to the Catalina). Its perfect for the 2 of us and tows pretty decently behind my Honda Ridgeline with a WDH and Brake Controller. Anyone looking at small trailers, please try to keep your weight well below your vehicle limits. By you time you add water and basics of life, you can push the envelope pretty quickly. Remember Dry Weight means not a spoon, towel or piece of T.P !!!

GR8 video Mike really informative. Now I’m really confused. Anyway 2 comments, 1 the fact of having an AC units should be mentioned more often. 2 (from my wife) because the beds are so close to the back wall it’s difficult to make up the bed after you’ve been sleeping in it. She said you have to climb over the mattress to tuck in sheets against the far wall side. Keep up the GR8 work Mike. I love it......Jeff

We're shopping around and starting to research; I have to say I'd rather ditch the bathrooms since we're intending to use them mostly in campgrounds/public land where you at least have pit toilets available. I *would* like to know how they heat though; I like winter camping. Going out and hiking or snowshoeing on a cold day is awesome...but a cold unheated tent overnight is less so! Also trying to find small ones that can sleep two adults and two kids is harder than I expected. I don't want to haul a 24' trailer! Or pay for one.

Hello RV Blogger! Fine job on the video with information to think about. However not enough prices to go along with them. Also the prices on a couple I know of are on the high side. I’ve had a sweat little Travel Trailer that’s just over the weight limit at 3,800 lbs. but has two features that none of those in your videos have and that’s a full RV sized walk around queen bed and dry bath with more room than either of those reviewed! Not to mention for less money than most, a lot less than a few. We have a Forest River Cherokee Wolf Pup 16FQ, that’s 21.5’ overall an full width without any slide-out. In the 3.8 years we’ve owned it we have had only a few minor issues, one covered under warranty, a bad battery. Then we needed to replace a couple worn out items I will be more gentle with, the prop rod that’s used to push the side window next to the bed open an stay open or pull in tight and lock closed, had its hinge break, the shower curtain has self destructed, plus the ground wire from the axle to the chassis that’s used to ground the electric brakes rusted away. That’s was all! In all that time I’ll estimate that the total mileage is over 30,000 miles, accumulated over weekends and month long trips with an epic 4 moth trip after we both retired and a new home was being built in Central Florida! In the last two years! Before that we lived in Massachusetts and had explored all up an down the east coast from far home in mass to as far north Bar Harbor ME and as far south as Key West FL more than twice, with two side trips to The Smokey Mountains in Gatlinburg, The Dragon and Blue Ridge Parkways! With dozens of points in between. On the 4 month trip we covered ground from Corpus Christi Texas and Texas Gulf Coast, to Waco area camping on Lake Waco. Stopping at numerous museums and local brew pubs along the way. All with a Chevy Colorado Z71,4x4, V6 Ext Cab! With ease an comfort to really explore!

@@RVBlogger We used to have a 12' pop-up camper by Jayco. We opted for the screen room that could attach to the awning, and the 3 burner propane stove could move from inside to outside and hung next to the door. Even in rain or mosquito blooms we could set those both up and do all our cooking and water boiling outside. After eating we could pop back in and wash dishes at the sink, plus had all that space the stove would have occupied to dry dishes or do food prep. It is usually just the two of us camping now, so about 3 years ago we upgraded to a small travel trailer (Freedom Express 19RB by Coachman) with a shower and electric jack (no more cranking for us). We have been really happy with it, but I still miss that 'cooking on the patio".

Great observation, I also considered perhaps its angles that way so you can "face" the party, instead of the cook having to have their back turned, and because the breeze will have an easier time carrying fumes away from the trailer on the side. Your likely correct though!

I can only tow 3500 lbs so Im limited. I think the Sol or the Nu Camp might work. The HIKE shower is a deal killer. They so easily could have made the shower larger. That was a missed opportunity. I did really like the cabinets in the HIKE. Good Review thanks

Ok trailer with tent I consider pop up. Good fair whether, but did tent camping10 years as Boy Scout leader. Ones with slides look interesting, as more real estate inside. These videos help me know what I want. Figure 1st rent travel trailer my car can tow. 2nd no tent. 3rd. Big comfy bed no bunks. Finally big fridge.

My small SUV is rated at 3500 lbs therefore I want to keep a trailer under 3k to allow for loading it. But it seems most have at least one significant compromise like outside kitchen or small shower, etc. I like inTech, rPods and the nuCamp but haven't picked an absolute favorite.
