Your Breezewood is a lot more charming than IRL Breezewood, PA (though maybe that’s because I only tend to see the main drag as I’m going from one highway to another)

@@AmandaDavis6130 I'm from PA and not too far from the actual Breezewood lmao that's where the name came from! I've been to the tunnels and stuff though I agree the main drag isn't pretty. My island is basically if PA were a cute island lol.

@@sockcosmos9793 thank you! I won't lie, the waterscaping is a huge pain! But once you get through it it's very easy to decorate since the water takes up a lot of the space.

@@KoalaR3public thank you! I wanted the island to flow in rainbow order, so I placed the villager homes down first and then waterscaped around each yard area to make it's own island.

Another incredible list of island layouts... some are just plain ridiculous. My brain can't plan things out nearly that well. With December upon us, I'm gearing up to redecorate my island for winter... but there are so many other ideas I wanna do. And I keep daydreaming about what I'd do if I restarted, something I'd never done. But I'm afraid once I do, any of my attempts to design any island won't manifest into reality :P

You can still have a pretty map while using a lot of path codes. On my island so far ive used 2 codes for the city ground over the light dirt path. It wasn't intentional though it was a happy accident, i just hated seeing the little green grass dots on the custom path since it's so light and the grass dots are so obvious on it, so decided to put the dirt under it then after i got some steps codes that's 100% filled in and placed it slightly overlapping the city's ground so it looks like both codes are perfectly seamless as if they were made for each other and it doesn't look like there's any gaps or that one code was placed over in game paths. On the map you can see the clear shape of the city. Just find or create path codes that are both fully filled in and some with a clear spot that allows you to place them in the shape of the in game paths. You don't technically need some that aren't 100% filled in just place an in game path under it anyway under the 100% filled in codes and you'll still have a decorative map. I mentioned both types with my island as an example that you can use 3 kinds of paths and it still looking seamlessly perfect while still getting the pretty map..

I just ordered a Switch Lite just so I could play this game because I’m about to boycott Star Stable. I was NOT expecting to be this excited to play Animal Crossing lolol

Animal Crossing really made me get into designing cuz the animals are so boring
