It definitely is going to need time to develop more, but the dry down is definitely really pleasant to my nose.

I absolutely get raw mushrooms from Caramel Cascade as well. I like the notes underneath, and I hope the earthy mushroom note eventually macerates away.

For Caramel Cascade I have to say that I also believe people over hype things all the time this is a Middle Eastern fragrance and it needs to sit awhile, I don’t like the opening either it’s sharp I don’t get mushrooms but it is definitely something off putting a few days latter the opening has gotten a little better so yes it’s going to sit until the fall season for me I found it really weird that on the first day of people receiving it was raving about it too I like the fragrance a lot On a side note I just would like to say that people buy in bulk just to resale I saw someone say they got 4 knowing she was going to resale even before it had arrived

Just had Lattafa Fakkhar delivered to me today and OMG it was love at first spray. It's divine!! I don't like it more than L'INTERDIT. They're different enough to have them both IMO. But I'm in love. It's a rose L'interdit to my nose but it is so much more than that. Stunning. Simply stunning.

I loved mine at 1st sniff. Deep caramel, condensed milk and musk. Milk is a very tricky scent it doesn’t, work on many people. If you don’t like lactonic run away. Pure milk, evaporated milk, condensed milk and dulce de leche(Argentine type). Thick, sweet

I love lactonic / milky scents. I do find this one milky and sweet in the dry down but the opening is doing something strange on my skin. I’m hoping it’s just a maceration issue and will change with time.

I got the chants tenderina one. Received jyst 2 days ago, yiu are right, there is no yet protection at all, thank you fir warning ppl about maceration. Because ppl might be very disappointed about projection and longevity. I experienced just the same wuth opera noir maison alhambra = black opium dupe! You got to try it btw!!!

Forbidden Sugar was a beautiful surprise for me. I love that so much that I bought a BK bottle right away.

My Forbidden Sugar arrived leaking as well but I love the scent. It helps me sleep so well.

I don’t get mushrooms, lol, but I smelled a very synthetic sweet caramel. It was not the beast Bianco Latte is, but it was very long lasting. I got 9 hours and a couple of compliments. It’s close enough to BL to not spend $150 on the OG. Caramel Cascade will be good to layer with next fall. I’m really on the fence with forbidden sugar. I hear glowing reviews and I smell something very different. I really can’t even describe it, but at the moment it’s not a love. I’ll test it again in a few months.

But I think I'm going to hold off on purchasing it, because I've heard several reviews stating that the opening is *not* it. And now, 🍄🍄😂. I'll stay with my OG Bianco Latte. Chants Tenderina (oh, to have been a fly on the wall when they picked that name 😂). Love it. Feminine and sophisticated. Middle Easteen fragrances frequently need time to macerate (I own over 50 of them 😬). You mentioned Byredo's Bal D'Afrique. Try Paris Corner's Vetevier Delight. Stunning! And this dupe lasts longer than the OG. I am waiting for my order of Forbidden Sugar. Your description is intriguing.. 🤔

Uh oh, I FOMO'd Caramel Cascade last week - haven't gotten my bottle yet, but yeah, it was before I started hearing all the first reviews about it. Fingers crossed I don't get mushrooms :D That was a good and practical tip on how to decide if hyped fragrances were all they were said to be, thank you!! I am thinking that I need to get Forbidden Sugar, that sounds delicious.

My bottle of forbidden sugar leaks too. The label came off and the silver cap is glued on top of a black cap and it came off too. Aside from that, the fragrance is amazing and I layer it with oil for it to last on my skin for about 3 hours max and it lasts maybe 6 or more on clothes but be careful because this has a lot of oil and it might stain your clothing if you over spray. I have the original of portrait of a lady and the dupe is close about 60%. I layer it with a rose oil to boost the projection and longevity.

I love Chants Tenderina, I bought it recently and very first sniff I am in love! It’s very unique in my collection now. Very feminine fresh smelling.❤

It’s really beautiful, just make sure when you get it to spray it and let it sit a while. After a month mine become gorgeous and practically identical to the original 😊

i was scouring the internet to find reviews on the POAL dupe and you delivered!! fragrance world also has their own version of it called “french portrait” and i’m curious to see how it compares to paris corner’s. either way i’m on my way to buying one now! 😂❤

heard great things about the Rouge Malachite dupe, I can also recommend another great ALIEN-RM dupe that is PRIVE ROUGE from EMPER, virtually aliensc RM without the controversial sage note :) projection longevity ery good :) smells very sophisticated, exoensive, old money but sexy with it :)

Your telling the truth about caramel cascade because I have mine for four days now and it's getting better because on the first day pure alcohol and oil and it burns my noise so harsh smelling, I though someone switch the fragrance out and got me 😅that's how bad it was in the beginning and I thought it was going to be sweeter at least or have some type of pleasant smell

Hmmm I don’t smell mushrooms on caramel cascade if anything I smelled a minty sweet scent in the opening and it dries in about 10 minutes and you can really smell the caramel. I was weirded out by that but I let it sit for a week after spraying it and the caramel has gotten stronger and I actually think the faint smell of mint gives it a nice touch to be able to wear it now for spring time.. I did order a back up because now I’m obsessed with this scent.

Mine is getting better and settling down. It’s smelling less mushroomy and I am getting the caramel more. Still not my favorite, but im going to let it sit longer to see how much more it develops ☺️

Does POAL have an oily gasoline type of note? I've never smelled the og, but I own Sculpture Portfolio by Al Haramain. The ambergris smells like gasoline to me? I'm afraid to get another dupe if that's just how it smells. For reference my favorite rose scents are Lady Vengeance and Nirvana Rose.

I think you would really enjoy unique portrait. I don’t get a gasoline smell, just a patchouli with rose. The longer it sits the more the rose becomes prominent and more jammy. It’s really beautiful and if you are a fan of lady Vengeance then you will definitely love this.

I’ve been checking on it daily to see if the opening changes. I wore it last night before bed and the mushroom like musk is toning down more but still not my favorite. Fingers crossed it evens out in a month or so but I’ll keep you posted on the progression 😊

All I got from Twilight Shadow was a musk bomb! Didn’t get powdery… just musk!! I had to sell it 😢

Caramel Cascade to my nose is root beer, cream soda, and licorice, with a faint moth ball drydown. Hopefully letting it sit will bring the caramel out.

On the caramel cascade They are saying the opening smells strongly of a milk note. to the point of being nauseating..

Both are really good but both are also really different. If I had to pick one I’d pick Fakhar Rose because of that unique clean note 😍

Omg I do the same thing with checking Mercari!! 😂😂 did that with caramel cascade. Not sure if I like it, it’s sort of weird to my nose. She might end up on Mercari if she doesn’t behave after her timeout

I'm tempted by Tanderina but, I don't like florals 😢and it's a pity. Fruity and floral works but just floral is SO off-putting, I just tried Gentle Gold which is (mostly rose and amber) too girly for my personality. I'm feminine but not girly. I like more mysterious scents like Born In Rome by Valentino, Or second Eilish. I like berries and sour notes.

I got caramel Cascade today and 100% INDEPENDENTLY smelled mushrooms- Gack!! I really hope it just needs time to mature because that opening is gross.

I agree with you what you said about the animal shelter. It sucks that an organization that does good to animals, which I love, treats their human employee/s like 💩. While I am an animal welfare advocate, I do not believe that humans should be treated worse. God gave us dominion over the animals, and I believe it is a grave sin to abuse/harm them, but, humans are the ones that God created in His image, and for His pleasure. I sprayed it on my arm not my cooch lol It’s a combination of notes that haven’t fully macerated. It’s not as bad the longer I’ve had it. It’s definitely settled more.💀😂
