Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

I do not know the history on this old Briggs and Stratton 8 HP Engine. Lets see if it will run for a future project.

Great to see you enjoying and learning about the emulsion tube updraft carb. Mine is a 1981 8hp and after TLC it runs great.

Yes sir your suspicions are correct that motor came off a Coleman 4000 Watt generator. Hence the green paint😂. I have the same motor mine's in 1978 it used to be my grandfather's generator and I just got it running again! That's always a joy !

thx for the insights. I have the same motor--(even the same throttle and possibly the same shaft, )--on a "Little Wonder" leaf blower. its a very heavy 'billy goat' style leaf blower on 3 wheels with a handlebar like a push mower, that you walk behind or drag across the yard to blow gale force wind at your leaves. but I can't get it to run smoothly or at full power. im suspecting low fuel flow, from a clog or bad filter, since the plug indicates its running lean, and it only stays running if the choke is mostly on.

Thanks. I have a vintage Easy Vac leaf vacuum, prototype Troy Built rear tined tiller and early hydrostatic Wheel Horse lawn tractor with this engine. I’d like to make all three run and power the machines like new. Your video gives me courage to restore them. Much obliged.

I'd of pulled the valves, cleaned them up, and re-lapped them in. Many of the Briggs flatheads I work on have valves that have worn down into the seat, and need a bit ground off the stem to get the lash back in spec (in .005-.007, ex .009-.011). I'm surprised you didn't break the emulsion tube pulling that carb apart! Good job getting it running. If you find your log splitter, make sure the old engine doesn't have a gear reduction motor as many of them do.

I believe that engine is from a Coleman 4400 kW generator because I have one (generator) my dad left me and the paint is green and the engine is 8 hp and it looks just like yours.

You got lucky separating the carb halves without first removing that emulsion tube; surprised it did not bend or break.

That looks like a up draft style carburetor on this classic Briggs and Stratton engine probably has points and condenser ignition system

I should think it does have points and condenser. I was surprised when it had spark. Thank you for watching.
