In Fallout 4, if you have a jet pack mod on your power armor, go to the Mass Fusion building and go inside. If you fly all the way to the top, in a corner room there will be a safe with Freefall Left and Right Leg armor. They completely erase fall damage, and there are some neat terminal entries explaining why they are there.

I think the reason for caps being the currency is that there's a finite amount of them. It's part of the Sarsaparilla Star quest in NV. Raiders (or locals, I can't remember exactly) were trying to use the bottling plant to create more caps, which would cause inflation.

That was the case in fallout one, yes. We can assume the practice spread across California and Nevada, but it's harder to explain why caps became currency over on the east coast in DC and Boston. It's not inconceivable, but unlikely given the time it would take to cross the country in a post war environment. It's possible a similar group to the Hub's water merchants existed and had a similar idea on the east coast, but there's no evidence that's present in the games set on the east coast. I can't speak for 76, however

@@notchhero11 It's largely because Bethesda is lazy, and doesn't want to explain it's currencies. Even New Vegas tried to explain it... by having several different currencies for two factions. Fallout 2 being largely NCR territory uses NCR money, Fallout 1 was caps, fallout 3 was... caps, for some reason, and Fallout 4 just doesn't care about making any sense, nevermind the fact that for some reason the Lone Survivor just automatically knows what the correct currency is post-war. Just lazy bethesda.

Another interesting fact about the charge card is the fact that Myrna's Synth paranoia actually alludes to something with this card, when she responds with her quote, Ironically enough the only vendor in the entire game who will accept the use of the charge card (brooks) is himself a Synth Designated L7-92, which is information you gain from Chase, a Former Couser you meet in arcadia which starts the quest "The Arrival" so in reality yes the charge card is " filthy Synth money"

Random Fallout 3 thing I seen during a new playthru last night ; killed Lucas Simms right away n put his sheriff duster n hat on n then I walked by Billy Creel later wearing it, he said the dialog line "Hey ya there Sheriff." Didn't know that detail even existed and I've played fallout 3 for years haha love your vids man keep it up

I actually bought the official strategy guide for Fallout 3 back in the day when I was a kid. It states (probably jokingly) in an image caption at the end of the "Finding the Garden of Eden" quest walkthrough that Colonel Autumn survives what James did in Project Purity due to the fact his coat is radiation-proof. I didn't hear the alternative explanation until a few months ago and thought that the coat quip was the actual explanation. Despite this, I still hold the coat theory as canon simply because it's way funnier to have Autumn survive the radiation thanks to literal plot armor that doesn't even cover his whole body.

I can’t recall if you’ve covered this or if this even really matters but if you move the overseers body around after killing him in the prologue Amata will follow to wherever his body ends up

I listen to this as I fall asleep each night, and only get about 25% of the information each night so I just keep going back to what I remember last before falling asleep 😂 needless to say this video is gonna last me a while

I feel like such a fool for not recording any of these: if you can find a physical disc release of fallout 4 for the right xmb version (this is part of how the ps platform version checks) you will hear tons of Easter eggs in the raiders dialogue. Three memorable lines include: "RIP THE FLESH; SALT THE WOUND" -very common line from the borderland 1 and 2 psychos A reference to the platoon quote paraphrased "did you see that head come apart" in idk raider dialogue And finally, the only one I've heard more recently in a fully patched game: "first mistake; last mistake" a lyric from the Megadeth song "holy wars... Punishment due". There were a bunch more but I'm sure someone got antsy in their pantsy about copywriter and removed them. (Dave mustaine played fallout 1-3)

Maybe the signature on the guitars is one of the devs who knew how to play and put his name or used his sign guitar as reference

4:26:17 I am currently active duty in the US Army. 108th IR would not be two different military groups. Fallout 3 got the designation wrong. (That being 108th battalion) There is no way a Battalion count has ever gotten to 108. 108th would be the regiment. However the battalion nomenclature would come before. So if some one was in 1st, 2nd or 3rd battalion it would look this. 1-108th "1st battalion" 2-108th "2nd battalion" 3-108th "3rd battalion" To me, it looks like what happened was Fallout 3 was just using military terms without knowing the structure. And Fallout 4 made the correction. To note: a battalion roughly has 1,000 soldiers in it. I dont think the game ever tells us how many battalion are in 108th IR. Its all dependent on if their battalions are in the same brigade. But prehaps that is looking to deep into it. To me it sounds like both Elliot and Nate were both in 2-108th at Anchorage. However thats still 1,000 people, so maybe they did, maybe they didn't. (other battalion in the same regiment would deployed with them at anchorage or possibly else were depending on their brigade structure). Another note: 108th IR is a New York National Gaurd Unit. Also another note: regiments can be spit. They often dont serve with one another. Very often battalions from a regiment can be stationed under other brigades and division, which just adds to the confusion.

There’s actually an explanation Fallout: New Vegas using caps. First, the NCR dollar lost a lot of its value because it was backed by gold that was destroyed by the BOS. Second, the citizens of the Mojave both don’t trust the NCR and have a lack of faith in the value of their money, therefore they use caps which is still backed my purified water. The Legion’s currency has higher value than the NCR because their money is made of metals (gold, silver, copper), but again, the citizens of the Mojave don’t trust them either.

Yep, Obsidian actually cared about explanation. Caps are still more appreciated, and thus used by everyone, but you can still "trade" the other currencies, and of course you're even rewarded with those currencies for some of those factions respective quests.

Feels the most likely place to get the rabbit foot would have been from The Pack.

2:57:52 The Lucky Shades in Fallout 3: If you are playing on PS3, you may run into quite an annoying glitch. Right after the room loads inside Lucky's, the manikin gets triggered and both the hammer it is holding and the lucky shades on its head drop. You will be able to see the shades directly underneath the manikin however, the only way you can pick up the shades are in 3rd person and it's very tricky. I've managed to get them a few times and this happens on every playthrough, even for the Game of The Year Edition. I have played the vanilla game on 360 before and have not run into this encounter, and I can confirm that on streaming the 360 vanilla version on Xbox's All Access gaming stream, through my Xbox Series X console. So more likely it's only a glitch on the PS3.
