That was foie gras (liver pate) on your starter plate. Butter around the edge. Usually very tasty.

No one ever says it in the travel blogs, but nothing about business class is actually great. Its just great compared to the alternative in economy. I would rather eat in a mid-range restaurant or sleep in a mid-range hotel than either in business class on any airline haha. Turkish Airlines has pretty good food if you like Turkish food though!

When you compare the airline seat to a hotel bed, you're right, there is no comparison. Planes aren't the best for comfort, but I'd much rather spend that flight time in business than economy. I'm sure I'll check out Turkish Airlines soon enough!
