Hey I'm 21 too now, but I started at 15. Through the music we kinda grew up together. Weird. Love you

So relatable for me. I've never been good with most relationships. I block out most new people in my life due to harsh past experiences. As a result, only those who have bothered to fight and see the real, vulnerable me have stuck around. I feel like it's always allowed me to see the most genuine people. "There's a reason for the distance, it keeps me safe". Lies are the bane of my existence. Weakness is okay, but people that overcome it and move forward receive the utmost respect from me. etc. etc. The point is: don't be afraid to be yourself, regardless of how others perceive you. Those that are truly there for you will stick with you to the end. You shouldn't have to be someone else in order to be liked by others. Be true to yourself and you will find a path in life that doesn't make you feel so alone.
