I’m 43 and I absolutely adore Givenchy Gentlemen, but only wear it for myself. Strangely, I don’t pick up any civet/animalic notes - mostly just patchouli, spices, and leather. If you haven’t already tried it, I recommend Versace L’homme from 1984. The dry down is very reminiscent of Gentleman, with somewhat of a D&G Pour Homme / Versace Dreamer opening.
