You said that if we have both male & female we often default to the male gender (boys & girls = "chicos") . I thought we always do that: are there exceptions?

I always learn something from every lesson, or just get really needed reminders. It's easy to get in a "rut" of always using one word and forgetting other options. (como contento y feliz) I've been spending a lot more time on TikTok lately. I haven't found many people teaching English there, mostly Spanish-speakers teaching English. Would love to see you there someday.
