Fantastic, Really shows the Journey that bounds the adventure to the kill at the end of the day. there is some irony with the lack of Big Stags in the area but hey, we were all Green horns once, and they say its in the eye of the beer holder. Enjoyed the video, the adventure is real in this. hooroo

Great video and well done on the stag! I hunted the same location last week. Did not have the same success as you on this occasion though. The river level is about 300mm higher atm and fairly chilly. Copped a bit of snow on the walk in then later found out the fresh 4WD tracks going over the river were from a hound crew who had passed through a day earlier.

Cheers mate. The hound crew were up there when we were hunting. Just didn’t put it in the video. They shot 3 deer just on the flats

Well done mate makes me wonder when hunters spend so much time in the high country as I have done myself and see very low numbers of deer why the hell the Victorian government would be spending money on culling samba during the covit period what a was of taxpayers money and a slap in the face to hunters like yourself, hope they wake up 🦌👌

Scott Thompson I think they get their numbers of deer for the whole state but forget that huge areas are closed to hunting, around were I live the numbers are very high but unless you can get onto a bit of private there is no hunting allowed the bloody things walk around like they own the place both Sambar ,Fallow ,and a few Reds and I'm less than 50 klms from the Melbourne CBD

Good stuff boys! Using E. Vedder tunes are a nice touch. Look fwd to your next video, and actually being out there and able to hunt again myself! BTW - just a positive comment, nothing more, I think adult sambar females are called hinds, as opposed to does, not that it really matters (semantics, etc, etc.).
