Later versions of them sure, But THAT SPECIFIC one has never returned in continuity as in the person behind the original identity or whatever has never came back to life in the main continuity, it's either a clone, someone else taking up the name, or it was a alternate universe

I don't know how it is reflected upon now, but at the time, and for decades after, it was really poorly received. I remember seeing countless videos/lists calling it one of the worst movies ever made. And I remember this because I LOVED that movie. And I remember going back repeatedly, every few years as I got older to ensure it as good as I thought. And aside from some rubber props that don't hold up, it's still excellent. Especially Shredder scenes. Really captures everything I loved about the 90s.

Nah, he came back. His latest appearance was in Absolute Carnage, but he showed up before that too. An autopsy revealed that he was never technically alive to begin with...and possibly not even organic. Hell, they even brought his old buddy Demogoblin back...but bound to Shriek, creating Demagoblin. Wonder how long until he rips free of her to get back to his calling of punishing sinners?

@@Bluesit32 Demagoblin breaking from shriek? I give him a week. He seemed to have a very strong moral code of killing sinners before his death ( saving an innocent child from hobgoblin shenanigans).

There is an alternate universe (IRL, not in the comics) where DC higher-ups didn’t intervene in the ending of the first issue of Detective Comics and the Joker actually died and stayed dead.

Magpie came back in 2016 but was killed off again in one of the semi recent suicide squad issues.

The Spook had so much potential prominent for a decade then faded to group shots and then despite being a murder row escape artist could not adapt to society and was fodder for Damien Wayne. He is an escape artist and his gimmick is The Spook! Why has he not returned?

In Marvel comics evil mutants Sumo, Masque and Kamikaze were killed by Cable, Shatterstar and Archangel respectively. I don't think any of them made a return. I may need Pence to fact check that for me....

I'd like to mention that mad doctor from Immortal Hulk. He cut up all of Hulks body parts and put them in jars! Unfortunately for him, Hulk still busted out and completely merged his body around him- almost John Carpenter's The Thing style!

The Rose from the Spider-Man verse died and never returned.

No, Joker wouldn't be effected due to his insanity and thinking what he does is justified so he carries no guilt over it. Like when he tried it on Thanos.

@@darkness138 There's a *HUUUUGE* difference between Thanos and the Joker. Thanos is one of the most badass characters in Marvel. Being a big Ghost Rider fan back in the day, I'd love to see a crossover showdown between Ghost Rider and the Joker. Even if the penance stare didn't work, Ghosty would still beat the Joker to within an inch of his life

@@residentrump3271 Yes there are vast differences between Thanos and Joker, however their take on guilt is very similar in the fact that they have none. You could even add Carnage and Punisher into the mix due to the same type of mind set when it comes to guilt and it's ability to trigger an effect from the penance stare. Thanos, Joker and Carnage feel no guilt in killing. Punisher though similar is the polar opposite in that all he feels guilt but he faces it and owns up to his guilt thus all of them are immune to the penance stare in that regard and making them all similar in their immunity, if you will, to that particular power of Ghost Rider. Now as far as physical combat they are all over the board different but the original post was just asking about the penance stare not a general VS. type showdown.

Kamikaze was decapitated by Archangel in Marvel Comics, but it was unintentional on Archangel's part. His wings could respond to threats on their own, and Kamikaze tried to attack Archangel from behind

The first tmnt movie is easily top 3 best page to screen comic movies EVER.
