I have changed my mindset about chores. Instead of saying ugh I have to wash my clothes, I have to do the dishes, vacuum, dust or whatever chore I am dreading, I say I GET to vacuum, dust wash dishes, etc …as there are many people who are homeless or less fortunate than me who would love to be able to do these mundane tasks. Thank you always for your videos and inspirations.

I clean for a living and sometimes it can be hard to find the joy in these tasks but when I begin to feel this way I remind myself of you and your videos and they really do help! Well did you get the tent up. Funny, I enjoy washing dishes and making the beds its always a rewarding task. Always place my vacuum cannister in a large plastic bag and take out of doors to empty. Keeps dust out of my home. Your garden looks nice. Mine burned up in the Texas heat 107 today. Have a great week.

You will love drip irrigation on a timer. It has changed my gardening so much and my enjoyment and success with crops has went way up! Highly recommend! It's a bit like Legos, once you have the key building blocks you can get water to anything that needs it I appreciate your words about boredom in homemaking. That is a struggle of mine. I am very creative & interest led & I am learning to create framework of simple routines & giving myself creative time daily. One of my most helpful is doing several things right away when I get up....start laundry, put away clean dishes, decide what is for dinner & get the meat or a few ingredients out to remind me what I decided on, make bed & get ready for my day, and xheck our busget while I drink my coffee. Those few basic items make me feel like if nothing else gets done at lest I did something & I am more free to say yes to myself for creative stuff or going out and riding my horse because I have a plan for dinner & a few things accomplished right off the bat. I have a long way to go to be on top of it all, but I am pleased with the difference that bit of structure has made. Your videos have been inspiring me to dejunk, clean, and rethink storage & organazation options in my home. Your decor is so refreshing.

Yes! I think one of the issue we have the water can't get trough deep enough to the roots because of the clayish dirt we have plus yes it will save time! I totally get you ! I'm the same way reduce as much as I can get it out of the way in the morning and I can do more creative things during the day! Thank you for your sweet comment! 🥰🤗❤

very helpful video. i had never viewed everyday chores like this. i know that many of the repetitive chores are sometimes relaxing for me you have made some very interesting observations, especially about how doing these things help keep brains and bodies active and thriving. i live in norman, oklahoma in the central part of the U.S.

Hello! I see you like those white jar lids like I do. While watching 'Old Ways Gardening and Prepping', I learned to put a canning jar lid (without the ring) Under the white, plastic jar lids to make them airtight! Don't know if you've tried that yet. Thank you for another great video!

I'm looking in to that vacuum seal. We have a FoodSaver that isn't working right. But we make it work. Wonder if there is a jar sealer? We vacuum seal jars A LOT! (Keeps longer and keeps critters out.). They are a wonderful invention but not real durable. Your friends garden is beautiful!
