Of all the videos on here about this problem urs is the best. You explain things nicely, including how long it could take. I would have given up after 15- 20 minutes, figuring it wasnt going to work, but, will try to hang in there. Have been doing it app. a half hour, and even though I get the colors, I never get beyond that. After about 30 seconds it automatically turns off. but, will keep working at it. Will let you know if I ever get it back on. I hope it works, cause the computer place says I need an new mother board that will cost $200.00. I cant afford that.

Try to heat up your GPU. While its hot push the chips down with a screw driver handle, then apply a super glue around the chips Lastly cross your fingers Hope this works for you guys

well you need a 2nd montior with hdmi in it then turn on your laptop and off until you get a image on your laptop then close the lid and you can use it on the othe rmontior

It took me a long time and sometimes short time. However this is a temporary fix, if it works at all. Judge your machine, sometimes it is time to either start opening up and clean the gpu or buy a new machine. After this video I used my laptop for another 3 weeks before it stopped working completely. At the end I bought a new PC.

Ive been trying this for a whole day but i wont give up i will keep doing it it still shows me the same colors but then just repeats

is it because of changing my windows 7 to 8

This was just a temporary fix. It's something to do with the GPU. Unfortunately if it doesn't work you need a new laptop or send your current one away to be fixed.

I tried this and it didn’t work on my dell Inspiron laptop 3552 I have to now replace the lcd cable completely and the cmos battery I ended up buying a new laptop

So its probably because I broke my display and the controller for it broke

Didn't work... Everyone says t do that but the beeping won't stop

I know this is a little past its date but throw it in the skip..

Not fixed what to do?

I did that and it restarted and it kept beeping 8 times sometimes 5 times

It's not working it's just doing the colors and going black and then I have to turn it off then do it again over and over
