I just can't thank you enough for bringing back inspiration and enthusiasm in me for drawing, after watching you , I have started using color pencils for drawings now ( previously I used crayons , pastel and water colors ) I have started painting once again after 3 years and its thanks to your videos, I love to watch and use your tips :D

I have a few questions: -how to not make the guidelines apparent in the drawing? -how to maintain a good proportion? -are sketchbook papers good?

1)slightly erase the guidelines before doing the refined sketch on top that helps 2)study anatomy there are tons of videos on KZread teaching anatomy which helped me a lot 3)yes sketchbook papers are thick so it doesn't get too affected even if you apply markers or colour pencils

If you have a fine liner or a brush pen you should ink and after your done inking everything you do a thorough erase but try not to wrinkle the paper, or do what @Maskirade Skip did, or do both

All very helpful and useful tips to keep in mind. It took me some time to upgrade my techniques, as an artist. I started very young and knew very little of what to do and so on. All i did know back then was i wanted to learn. So, i picked up a comic book for reference, had a piece of notebook paper and started drawing. Looking back at that very first drawing and what I've learned today. Is such a huge improvement and satisfying accomplishment. Because i pushed myself to learn from other KZread artists on here and it really skyrocketed my drawing ability. 👌🏾

Incase if you guys can’t find any inspiration or don’t have any manga [or if anime isn’t working for inspiration] Go on Pinterest or to your favorite artists feed and start sketching!! [You can take a look at the eyes or what you like about the piece and draw it but with modifications] Incase if looking at your favorite artist’s work isn’t enough look at anatomy poses!!! Remember these are sketches so don’t spend time trying to perfect it!!! These sketches can be as customizable and as messy as you want them to be!! Also thank you for the helpful tips :DD

I’m pretty good but not as good as him

"don't worry if your drawing is not good" yeah this hits really hard because I kept worrying that my drawing is bad compared to others, then I stopped caring and just starts drawing all I want, 30 days later I actually improved! Couple of months later I do not need to do the basics anymore to make the drawing consistent because I can already do it easily! Practice makes anything perfect.

Now this is quality content keep up the amazing work bro!

this was the channel that I discovered back in the May of 2020 and learnt how to draw anime art , and I noticed my progress . Looking back at my old drawings and comparing them with my current really help me keep drawing . I'm not just saying this , it's true Man , I used to draw the characters following along the tips you provided in your videos and really levelled up ! Thanks a lot dude!!

Very helpful! My only question is.. When I color a drawing in with colored pencil, the texture of the paper starts to show.. am I coloring in too dark?
