Please I need to know. Why do you call it Elden Ring DLC. That seems strange. Shouldn't you say "the Elden Ring DLC" or "the DLC of Elden Ring"? Is it search engine optimisation? Or dialect?

@@overpope3510 sometimes as in this case the entire phrase is being considered a title of what the subject is. "Elden ring DLC, it's so fantastic." If you were comparing dlc's you might say "the" for example: "I really like the God of War DLC but the Elden ring DLC just isn't as good." either one is correct, but sometimes your mind determines subtle differences in what you want to say. "I love Christmas trees, the Christmas tree in my house is especially beautiful."
(Final secret) If you already killed the final boss but want the headgear, don't worry, you don't actually need to do the questline, if you find St. Trina at any point even after you've already finished the DLC, you can still go there and get the headgear.

It is quite some irony if you think about how zio complained about "being spoiled by some jerks" just a week ago and now he is basically doing it himself. Have to say it is quite unfortunately that Radahn is such a iconic character. Just the picture is enough to get him recognised even if ou have not yet seen the new design. Garden of eyes spoiled me with his damn thumbnail on day one. i hate it. Sure it might be obvious from the hints but the moment of realisation is still something i would have loved to experience myself and not this way.
In the final fight we see Miquella with 4 arms just like Ranni, they both speak of the same term “thousand year voyage guided by” compassion/stars. And you get the “let us go together” gesture once your heart is stolen by Miquella. The exact same line Ranni says in the age of stars ending. Please talk about this! Seems like too many similarities for it not to mean something to me… *Edit:* I’ve been told Miquella’s 4th arm is fading away it isn’t complete…. as we know he’s cursed with nascency, so perhaps him not having 4 arms is yet another depiction of this, perhaps he was inspired by Ranni to some extent and that’s why he wanted to have 4 arms as she has, but even at the divine gate, he still couldn’t complete his ideal form. Or perhaps it’s just a side affect of him divesting his flesh and what made him him across the realm of shadow, and now even in his spirit form he’s no longer complete, shown in his cut off arm.
@excalibur2596
21 күн бұрын
It's because both Ranni and Miquella's goals were the same. To create an age of their own. Ranni makes us her consort to usher the age of stars whereas Miquella makes Radahn his consort to usher the age of compassion. To become a God, one has to divest themselves of their physical body which is why Ranni and Miquella only exist spiritually which might be a reason as to why they have four arms.
@ilijacavic9049
21 күн бұрын
Theres also cut dialogue for the second phase cutscene of miquella in which he uses the exact same terms as ranni in the age of stars ending, i dont really understand why they made these connections between miquella and ranni except for that they are both aiming to make completely new ages

I dont think it matters too much, but Miquella actually has 3 arms: 2 “spirit” ones around radahn and 1 “physical” to cast spells. We know he’s entirely a spirit because he abandoned his body, but some parts seem more physical for some reason

I think it would be nice, that if you did the questline, Trina thanks us by the time we win the fight. Just a whisper in our ear out of nowhere. Maybe even really, really subtle and quiet, so not everyone hears it. That would be cool.

it would be REALLY cool if we do the quest line and st trina gives us a weapon that's highly effective against the 2nd phase or even better yet a piece of armor that would protect you a bit against having your heart stolen and if you beat the boss while wearing that piece of armor you get the whisper of st trina thanking us.
When it comes to the OSTs, I think Promised Consort Radahn's theme is by far the most interesting one as it heavily reflects the lore. It literally combines motifs from both Starscourge Radahn and Mohg's themes - reflecting how Mohg's body was used as a vessel for Radahn's soul.
Another thing about Rellana's theme is that it contains some music elements from SotE original reveal trailer.(specifically music when the Dancing Lion is shown)
"Rellana's theme is a play on Renalla's theme" And we're just not going to talk about the mad lad lightning roll fight?
I am not sure Merika built the Divine Pillars. We know that decimation of the Hornsent happened after the end of Liurnian wars because of Relanna's Remembrance (I think) mentioned that she followed Messmer into combat. The Carians and the Golden Order weren't aligned until after Rennala and Radagon's marriage. Merika ascended to godhood long before that, meaning the Pillars of Divinity were constructed long before then. If the above is correct, the fact that the Pillars of Creation seem to be mostly Hornset was not a decision Merika made, and was more likely something the Hornsent did it to themselves.

I have not yet seen anyone compare Enir Ilim to the Eternal Cities extensively enough. Not only in terms of the bodies infused into the architecture, but also the inverted towers. They can be clearly seen in Nokron, which makes for an interesting parallel - Enir Ilim is a city in the sky, which was involved in ascending Empyreans to godhood; while Nokron is a city deep below the ground, which was directly involved in an attempt to assassinate a god or its vassal (the Fingerslayer Blade used to kill/harm something or someone related closely to the Greater Will). And additionally, Marika is a Numen, to whom the Nox are directly related
Something i also find interesting is the fact that the colors of the lower part of the Lands of Shadows are in red and blue with Charos Hidden Grave and the Cerulean Coast. These places feel like they have more connection with death than any other place with a Deathbird, Tiber Mariner, Gravebirds, those Graveshadow enemies with crabs on their head. Well these 2 colors are in relation with the Twinbird the mother of Deathbirds. The feather talismans and the twinbird shild hint at these colors.
Thanks for your contribution to the community, Zio. Keep up the good content

When I researched the etymology for Enir-Ilim, I found almost no sources for "Enir." The only two things of note were an 1862 book of Scottish surnames that said it could mean "chieftain", and a site claiming it could mean "great warrior" as a variant of the Swedish "Enar," which itself seemed to be a variant of a variant and so on. In contrast, "Ilim" seemingly originates from an Akkadian name for Babylon, Bab-Ilim, or "Gate of (the) God(s)." Taken together, Enir-Ilim might mean "Chieftain God(s)" or "Great Warrior God(s)." What did you find that indicates it might mean the name you posted? I enjoy learning about the deeper meanings and origins of these names.

10:13 the great rot pots do work in phase 2. However, it’s the timing to throw them that’s tricky. For me, phase 1 became a cakewalk and so I used the pots for phase 2 because I struggled to find timing to get hits in. It took 2 back to back pots when he starts floating into the air for the nuke. However, I had to have the health and holy resistance to just eat the explosion, but it worked and that’s part of how I beat phase 2.
I did notice Messmers theme being similar to Radagons. Cool things to learn regardless so thanks for this.
Thank you for video! Amazing tips and secrets

Nice vid bro
Anyone else try to use mohgs shackle on radahn and get severely disappointed...
Yo I wonder if the Shamans we find in the underground areas of Lands Between are related to Marika and her shamans.
The symbolism of when an age changes takes the lives of the old and in with the new will always effect time and always the coolest part of these games
I did actually manage to find a consistent way to scarlet rot the final boss second fase, and a pretty cinematic one too! 90% of the time he will do the big explosion as his first move, so simply use scarlet aeonia while he is in the air. You will tank the damage of the explosion, but will scarlet rot him in one hit. Love the content bro, keep up the good work!
One thing I love about Elden ring and the DLC, is that I have spent a lot of time exploring (without a guide pointing out all the secrets and what not, unless I am stuck and looking for something specific), and I still see things that I never saw in my play through.
Scadutree Avatar has an amazing OST. I love how each phase the music changes to a more ethereal tone
I'm really proud that the only boss that i missed was the scadutree avatar, and this is without looking up anything about the dlc prior to its release (aside from the trailer and theories before release)
As well, as Metyr and the black hole, Romina themes second phase contains a part of Malenias theme in it as well.
it's funny how you mention the bodies being used to craft the buildings, I noticed that the other night myself.
gotta say man that ad transition was as clean as rellana’s armor
addition to the ost secrets, i think in rominas fight you can hear malenias second phase at some point
It’s interesting how Marika’s godhood looked quite different from Ranni and Miquella’s
One that you missed, soundtrack-wise. Scadutree Avatar OST is a remix of the Erdtree Avatar OST. As for my favorite in the DLC? I have to go with Divine Beast, Midra and the final boss. And YES. They should have kept that St Trina ending in it.
tip for second phase from a mad man, scarlet aoenia will proc rot on second phase, you have enough time to do it when the light nuke is charging. problem, you will get hit solution, physyk tears that reduce damage will effectively tank the attack if your willing to sacrifice the physyk for this stunt as second phase starts, chug the physyk and cast the incantation. If he doesnt do the light nuke, retry until he does.
Dang, now I gotta check every furniture cover just in case there might be some juicy lore detail
One cool secret is how the Scudutree avatar mimics the Scudutree when it does its explosion attack in the third phase as it looks almost identical to the position that the Scudutree is in.
You can find eye balls that are imprinted by the three fingers in the manor as well that can be used as crafting items. So were the 3 fingers in the land of shadow or the manor at some point
The Metroid Prime 1 + 2 Soundtrack gives me the heaviest nostalgia everytime. Hopefully MP2 will also get a remaster and MP4 will be Great
for the closure i think Thiollier should have been waiting for you at St. Trinas, having finally heard her voice, thanking you both for her services and asking him to pass on her final message to you
It would be cool if we get the St. Trina’s cut dialogue when we defeat Miquella by using Velvet sword of St. Trina. It’s like Miquella can finally rest in the arms of his true love eternally.

Or their* true love 🤷🏻
Interesting that the scadutree position seems to line up closer to the haligtree than the erdtree
Godfrey first elden lord ost gave me chills like no other
This game is way deeper than anyone can ever imagine.
I just keep logging in and joining the near/far summoning pool to fight the bosses over and over and over again lol it’s TOO GOOD.
Btw you can proc Rot on his second phase, it just takes more pots. And its arguably even more effective there, as you'll be dodging more.
As for the map, Miyazaki said before launch that the Land of Shadow was physically a part of the Lands Between until Marika sealed it off. I don't think the actual Land of Shadow map is to scale with the Lands Between's map, but considering how vertically layered the Land of Shadow's map is, and how the interior angle of the Lands Between keeps elevating as you progress from Limgrave to Lyndale i do believe that they did fit perfectly at one point. However Modern Day Lands Between has structures built several where the Lands of Shadow would normally occupy such as the Divine Towers that throw off the overlay.
You missed a big ost secret: At some point in Rominas ost, we hear the second phase of malenias ost, referencing the fact they are both important/relevant characters conneted to the rot god.
Also regarding OST, I think there is Redmane theme in room before Gaius. Since he is comrade of Radahn, it was laso cool.
I’m so interested in St Trina’s lore and that whole quest and area around her along with the whole Abyssal Forest Frenzy Flame but too Putrescent Knight and Metyr Mother of Fingers have my favorite tracks.
I think the sunflower theme is a violin version of the theme that plays when you fight some horse riding knights, and its also really good. I'm not sure what the third part is a play on though, had me feeling bad for a sunflower
Im so tense when playing I hardly notice the music so it's always cool when people point this out.
To address your overlap of the land of shadow and lands between I havent been able to make or find a high quality cutout of the lands of shadow map, but i think it would fit pretty well if you rotated it 90° counterclockwise That would put jagged peak in the large empty mountain area next to forbidden lands and that would connect the broadest side of scadu Altus directly against the bottom of the base game altus It would also put gravesite plains directly against the top of limgrave and would put both Liurinia and Isolated divine towers on land and would put the suppressing pillar much closer to the center Theres also a suspiciously large inaccessible empty land space just below the first staircase into Lyndell that has always bothered me that would also almost perfectly fit the isolated plateau you reach after killing gaius, which is where that would be if the map was rotated, that would also put the oddly altus colored landmass connected to altus and would connect the large structure found there to West Altus Divine Tower Also given the height differences, it would out Finger Ruins Of Dheo underneath Lyndell, though idk if it puts it deep enough to reach the 3 Fingers This rotation would also put the only coasts in the land of shadow out facing the ocean to the east, the southernmost landmass reaching under Farum Greatbridge and wrapping around beastial sanctum I only have one single gripe with this near perfect placement which is it puts belurat and inir-ilim next to stormveil which aside from the connection that it could have just been a massive castle that reached stormveil, belurat, and where Faram Azula used to be(given it's ruins are scattered over limgrave) i would say that only way it makes since is if all three were once one giant castle or were at least all next to eachother, though i dont really sit well with that Though to counter that, it would put Shaman Village against southern altus and it keeps Grand Altar Of Dragon Communion connected to Caelid and the southern region where the other two communion locations are Its also worth the thought to know that it might not take up every bit of water, there may have been water spaced between
Mod idea: connect the lands between and the land of shadow in a seamless way as if Marika's veil was lifted
Got me with that first one, didn't know there were things under the tarps.
Final message for St.Trina would have been great, given a lot better feeling at the end. I think it could have been done like the memory you get at the end anyway, just at St.Trina, or even just hearing it when you kill radahn/miquella
Messmer's theme sounds more like the Bell Gargoyle DS1 if you pay close attention to the intro...
It makes sense. I had to go back to the Liurnia ruins west of the Grand Lift of Dectus and they’re very similar to the Ruins of Rauh. There’s a lot of overlay and that makes a lot of sense when you’re back in the Lands Between. Also, the Big Chungus of Enir-Ilim faces look exactly like the Godskin Nobles.
I wish we got that little St. Trina cutscene. I also wish we got another one of those flowers we get from him as a loin cloth just to flex on bosses next play through lol.
I really like the belurat tower settlement track and romina saint of the bud. balurat is very ominous and strong, the low chants really sells the ruin the tower settlement is currently reduced to. Rominas sound track honestly reminds me of malenias theme which makes sense since Romina is also a rot enthusiast.
Looks like I’ll be rocking the rakshasa set now that I know it won’t affect me that much.
Recently someone pointed out on Reddit that the motif on the alternate outfit of Dane and Radahns cape have similar motifs related to Miquella.
