How about this one: The slogan of the Pinkerton Detective Agency was "We never sleep" and Micah, whom Milton claims worked as an informer for the Agency, almost never sleeps in camp unlike all the other characters (which several gang members point out), perhaps a hidden hint to his role as an informer?

9) In 1899 John uses a Hungarian Half-bred called "Old Boy" and this horse resembles the War Horse in RDR1 and "Old Boy" is what Edgar Ross calls John. 10) In "Enter and Pursued by a Memory" the horse John used has a unique saddle that has his initials on it and it's left behind after you rescue him. 11) In the epilogue Dutch wears snow chaps as part of his new outfit. These are the same chaps Dutch wears in RDR1 only by that point they are more worn *edit:* and he's torn off parts of the front making them look more like the type native americans wear.

What's even funnier is that JK Rowling herself stole the idea from a 80's movie called "Troll" where the movie is about a boy who moves into a apartment building where a Troll inhabits and he must learn magic from a witch that lives in one of the upper floors. The fact this game is over 3 years old already is scary. I still remember playing through the prologue like it was yesterday. I hope that when GTA VI comes out in 134 years that you'll do videos on it too, the mystery and discovery when a new Rockstar game comes out is one of my favorite parts of their games.
The parallel between Jack Marston and Edgar Ross blew me away, and I can't believe I never made the connection. It's things like these that explain why, 4 years after its release, I still play this game to this day.

The moment Ross ran his mouth at Jack, I couldn't help but smile. He really has no idea that he's looking dead into the eyes of his murderer, that the sea will be the Agent's grave. I really appreciated that detail from RStar.

I think another cool parallel is that Ross and Milton are both meeting the men who will kill them both respectively and each faces the one who will kill them, which im certain is intentional because they could have written the scene to not include Jack. And also both die near a river as pointed out for Ross, but also Milton at the docks in Van Horn

Ross: "Enjoy your fishing kid,while you still can" Jack: "Enjoy your retirement,while you still can,old man"
Great Job Dude! Adding to the last one, after playing the fishing mission with Jack you can see that Arthur was almost pulling his gun out (very subtle movement) to shoot Milton and Ross, but in the end Arthur remembers Jack is with him and leaves the gun holstered. Makes you think what would have happened if Arthur decided different and what would you have done in Arthurs place?
@rahulverma8774
2 жыл бұрын
It would have been a terrible idea Sure arthur would have won in a gun fight without a scratch But that would have meant more pinkertons behind dutch Uncle sam would have declared dutch a terrorist, not just a thief
@Broken_Savior
2 жыл бұрын
There's little reason to be worried about Uncle Sam. The player can hide plenty of corpses in bushes around the world and never, ever be reprimanded for their crimes. Two agents went missing. They must have become lost. Secondly, as much as nobody wants to kill two men in front of a four-year old boy, the question asks what we, the player, would do if Rockstar cared about player agency. With the benefit of foresight, knowing exactly how the plots of both games turn out, killing them at the earliest opportunity is a better idea than doing nothing. Besides, Dutch butchers his own gang, not Ross, not Milton, not Cornwall, not Uncle Sam, nor the Pinkertons as a whole. Dutch being weak-willed is ultimately responsible for their fate. Go for it, Arthur. Jack has seen worse, anyway. Hell, he will do it himself down the line, if you don't. So, go for it!
@rahulverma8774
2 жыл бұрын
@@Broken_Savior 1) Arthur did not knew at that time that dutch will break his own gang 2)Missing agents are a big deal, remember what happened when a DEA agent was killed in a foreign country, uncle sam started war on drugs, same would have happened here if 2 agents following dutch suddenly vanished 3)Jack was far from violence before the start of RDR1, remember when john killed 3 dudes in front of jack, he started crying and shouting, so that gunfight would have effected jack's mind
@Broken_Savior
2 жыл бұрын
@@rahulverma8774 You're missing the point. The question is not 'what should have Arthur done.' It is 'what would have You have done in that same position?' Considering that I possess knowledge of the bigger picture, things Arthur could never hope to realize, I see absolutely no reason to not shoot them. Keep in mind it is also 1899 during that scene. It would take a rather long time for anybody of significance to realize that Milton and Ross were expelled from that realm of existence. By the time someone had known, the Gang would already be long gone. Well, if Dutch weren't Dutch, they would be, of course. But Dutch is an idiot. But maybe, two dead Pinkerton Detectives would be enough of a scare for him to get off his dead ass and do something sensible for a change. Jack was shaken by the Bounty Hunters John whacked, indeed. But not too long afterwards he's fishing alongside his Father, having a grand old time; it didn't stick with him for long. Well, a good time until his brainless dog got bit, but aside from that mishap, those three left no lasting impact. Ultimately, murdering Ross and Milton prevents a lot of issues they run into down the line. The severity of the consequences depends on what Arthur and crew do afterwards.
@rahulverma8774
2 жыл бұрын
@@Broken_Savior i think you are right 😅 Death of ross would have made dutch more alert And jack was as ruthless as john from within But i think death of ross would have also made them more wanted Like if bounty on arthur was 5000$ without killing ross then it would have been 50000$ if ross died Other then that, their death was good option
I don't know if anyone has done this(well I never seen players do this in their walkthrough), is when you see that random encounter where the Lemoyne Raiders or O'driscolls are freeing their men from the caged wagon, you can free the guy in the wagon, tie him up, and bring him to a nearby town, go the the sheriff's office and get some decent money and honor points.
Comparing Ross at his first meeting with Jack and his last meeting Boy that man did not age well in those 15 years
Just a few little thoughts of mine: The J.K. reference goes even further I believe, as this was pretty much the same what happened to her, being told that Harry Potter was never gonna sell and being rejected by some publishers. Also, I'm not sure if Strauss's outfit is purely a reference. At that time the nightcap was more than common in the German/Austrian culture and the cap is still used in caricatures as a symbol for Germans (or german-speaking figures).
@Phospherone
2 жыл бұрын
Both seem a little bit of a stretch to me seeing as there’s really no reference at all. They’re just similar.
@hernerwerzog9700
2 жыл бұрын
@@Phospherone Yea, maybe, I do like his videos, but sometimes he reaches a little to much for it. I do think that the Harry Potter one could really be a reference combined with some social criticism, but Strauss one is really a stretch.
@johnnymoreno5065

@@hernerwerzog9700 nah I think Strauss and Scoorge comparison is spot on if u think about it. They both like money so much to the point their hungry for it and u know Strauss is the type where he wants his money back in paid full after loans. Scrooge was known for being petty towards those if they want help from him. And both of them socialize like professionals or keep to themselves mainly. Cuz with Strauss he only interacts a few or mainly two I believe and keeps to himself by his tent like alot. I think it's not stretch if u know there very similar how they are.
