Keep in mind that most traditional varieties of coleus flourish in dappled shade and direct sun that’s limited to morning hours. The varieties I've discussed in this video prefer full sun in order for their colorful pigments to pop and dazzle.

I had Indian Summer last year in sun until about 2:00 pm and then shade. It was spectacular. Took cuttings for the inside winter and just put it out. Highly recommend.

Rustic Orange tolerates full sun but in case you see the leaves bleaching and scorching, move it where it’ll get sun in the morning and shade in the afternoon.
