What a day down here at Hampton Downs Motorsport Park!!
The moment I've been waiting for a long time, to film the track session of what might be the closest racecar to a 787b in terms of feel, drive and sound. This 4-rotor, 26B-powered Rx-7, driven by Stuart Gray in the GTR NZ racing series, is truly what dreams are made of!
That sequential straight-cut transmission is honestly the cherry on the cake, in this video you'll see and hear this majestic Rx-7 climbing up the positions in an outstanding comeback from the bottom of the grid (handicap race).

What kind of gearboxe is that? Didn't know there are ones where you just pull straight back & forth.

It's called sequential. It has straight cut gears that engage quickly whether it's up or downshifting
