    This is NOT from October 1978, but from December 1978. BBC One and Two were off air from Wednesday 20th December 1978 due to strike action. All of BBC Radio were on strike from 4pm on Friday 22nd December 1978, with BBC Radios 1, 2, 3 and 4 collapsed into one BBC All Network radio service providing music and news until the strike was settled at 10pm that night. Full BBC TV and Radio services resumed the next day.
