777-200 Dallas to Narita

I appreciate your support. This video has more edits and blurring than I normally have. I had to choose between not posting or blurring and editing. This was my last trip when I was training for the 777. Narita is a long flight and probably not one I will get to do again as it goes very senior.

Just came across your channel, thanks for sharing your trip and giving more details about it than most other airline pilot vloggers! Working on my PPL now and hope to someday be doing what you’re doing, your down-to-earth attitude is really encouraging for someone such as myself who’s coming from a background not strictly aviation-related. Thanks!

Thank you for sharing you trip. Yes, the long-haul trips are long and I am always tired coming into there. My former Chicago Hong Kong trips were a enough for me. I miss the retired 747-400s to fly the Pacific. I never did the Tokyo trips. As I got more senior and became a Purser F/A, holding the Hong Kong flights were good to me.😊

I hear you about a feel for flying this wide-body. I use to hear on my Los Angeles or Hawaii trips from the pilots how some like handling flying the 777-200ERs compared to the 300ERs. I took it that we had more weight of cargo and/or passengers on 300s in handling the glide slop on landings.😊

I have connected thru NRT a few times and Overnighted there 2-3 times I think at a hotel by the airport but have NEVER taken the time to sightsee the town of Narita. Will definitely do that next time. I do prefer HND now that I have flown there 4 times. There's 2 hotels inside the airport and so many Shops and Restaurants outside of Security.

@@airrdI believe that there are FAA regulations around pilots filming on revenue flights. This is based around avoiding any potential crew distraction. The stuff on the ground is all company policy stuff at least when in the USA. There are countries that “Kirkland” go to that could have laws about filming airside.
