That is Miles Bridges, who is better than Mikal Bridges and fits the gaping hole created by Brutal Sixers fans running Tobias out of town. Miles is an UFA. Wouldn't have to give up anything, and he's cheaper and younger.

Tobias was a key to winning game 5 and he busted his butt in every other game too. He only took 2 shots in game 6. The shots you wanted him to take were taken by his teammates. Had Tobias averaged more points, that would have been less baskets for one of his teammates. In any case Tobi wants no part of this Brutal and Ignorant Sixers fan base. His salary was not a factor in constructing a team in the old CBA, because the Sixers operated OVER the Salary Cap Threshold. In the NEW CBA, there is an effective hard cap, and salary matters. Tobi was probably willing to re-sign for around 10-12 M. But now that he has been treated so poorly, he ain't giving the Sixers any discount. He is a top valued FA and will get paid elsewhere.

When Embiid got hurt he had an opportunity to step up but didn't! Heild, Oubre, Batum stepped up not the guy who should've been the second option when Embiid went down.

@@jerry25athat’s the problem. It’s not like the Knicks run designed plays to get OG involved in the offense, for example. Tobias doesn’t have the right skills to be a 3rd option (average catch and shoot, below average finisher at the rim, etc.) And he doesn’t have the skills to be a top option (inefficient mid range shots, takes too long to get a shot off comfortably, not a good finisher).

@@Walrus286 Why does Tobias have to be a 1st, 2nd or 3rd option? Why did Nurse play Tobi over 33 mpg if he didn't think he was much better than the alternatives? It certainly wasn't because of his contract. That is RUBBISH fan BS to suggest anyone pressured Nurse to play Tobi after the trade deadline. All that actually counts now, is what Tobi would be paid going forward. History is IRRELEVANT now. But since the fan base chooses to punish Tobi, he won't even entertain any heavily discounted offer to re-sign with Sixers. So if Sixers fail to upgrade at true PF by signing Miles Bridges, it will be the fault of the fans for driving him away and leaving the Sixers without a better stretch PF. And I do love Tobi's all around game. He just was overpaid, which isn't his fault. He's no longer athletic enough, compared to studs like Miles Bridges.

I like MPJ and Martin. But both kinda feel like second options for Philly to pursue if they strike out on stars. Personally I’d rather go this route of getting elite role players who can have star performances at times like these two have instead of sinking all my cap space into one Paul George or someone like that

Don't worry, it likely is an illegal trade for reasons I explained. DEN would be hardcapped at the 1st Apron of 178.65 M but likely couldn't get under the 1st Apron. The rule is that a team can't receive a player via S&T if over the 1st Apron. Also, DEN would be hardcapped at the 1st Apron if they do a S&T. The current DEN roster is projected to have 188.5 M for 12 players. The combined salaries of Melton (damaged goods) and Hield would have to be around 22 M to have a chance for DEN not to hit the 1st Apron. People cannot use Trade Machines a this time of year, for these type of trades. You have to understand the new CBA.

The first problem with this double Sign and Trade is that all sides have to agree. That means both Hield and Melton have to agree with the contracts offered. Currently, if KCP and Reggie Jackson pick up their player options, DEN would have 188.5 M for 12 players under contract. That is already 10 M above the 1st Apron of 178.65 M !!!! That means that by Trade Matching rules, DEN is limited to only take back up to 100% of the outgoing salary of 35.86 M. However, in order to allow a S&T, DEN must get under the 1st Apron after the trade. They would be hardcapped at the 1st Apron for the rest of the season. That means the most the combined salary for Melton + Hield would be about 22 M for DEN to avoid hitting the 1st Apron. Its unlikely both Melton and Hield would agree. And that is assuming that Morey would agree to use up 35.86 M of cap space for an often injured unreliable player in Porter. But then DEN may not want Melton, who should be viewed as damaged goods because of his chronic back problem. So most likely an illegal trade that could not happen.

And NO WAY I am trading Paul Reed, who's salary is reasonable and he's currently the only backup 5 the Sixers have, and BBall can double as a backup 4. Besides being extremely touchy wrt avoiding the 1st Apron for DEN, taking back Paul Reed would guarantee going over the 1st Apron and nullifying a S&T.

Imagine if we sign caleb martin and lonnie walker iv, our bench would be nice

In the Nuggets first round win over the Lakers, MPJ averaged 22.8 PPG and shot 55.3% from the field, 48.8% from three. Inconsistent, but can be a great third option when he's on

Kelly oubre has better production than porter . Porter should be further than just a spot up shooter , he doesn’t help us at all

I’d rather keep Buddy Heild and De’Anthony Melton instead of trading them for MPJ. Especially after the performance buddy he gave us in game 6. With melton I think he just had a really unfortunate season, but I’d rather give these two guys another chance.

I would offer Hield 10-12 M for year 1 as part of 3 year extension. Unfortunately Buddy's open market value declined because of this past season. I might offer Melton a 1 yr contract to give him a chance to prove his lower back issue can be resolved. DEN is not going to want to risk more than 1 yr either. The Sixers medical staff should have a better idea the likelihood that he can recover.

Tobias 2.0, the 76ers suffer for 5 years fort him. Go for Jonathan Isaac and Isaiah Stewart both can play 4/5. Isaac is an elite defender, while Stewart has a high motor and toughness. Invest on frontcourt depth especially the 76ers gets destroyed if Embiid isn’t playing.

The Sixers did NOT suffer because of what Tobias was making, because they operated above the Salary Cap Threshold. Owner was willing to pay into the luxury tax. That affected Josh Harris' pocketbook, not the Sixers roster. Some years Sixers didn't even use the MLE, much less the full MLE. That was on Josh Harris, not Tobias Harris. Had Tobias' contract been 140 M instead of 180 M with decreasing salaries no one would be complaining much. Would have been 32 + 30 + 28 +26 + 24 = $140 M. We need to see more descending salaries. Melton had a descending contract. However, in the new CBA, which goes into full effect this June, there is an effective hardcap and a similar contract would be devastating going forward. What is so pathetic about Sixers fans (and the You Tubers are coddling to the ignorant fansbase) is that all that should matter regarding Tobias Harris is what would his NEXT contract look like. You don't punish people for what they earned in the past. That is just vengeance, when Tobias isn't to blame for being lucky that the Nets were about to offer him a 4 yr Max and Elton Brand had to match that.

Once PG extends with LAC, Harden will have no choice but to take what LAC is willing to offer. Neither Dallas nor DEN could offer more than either the 5.18 M t-MLE or the 12.859 NT-MLE. And Wesbrook should accept another Vet Min. He doesn't need the $.
