So glad your producing such great presentations. On a side note, in Canada where I live, the department of veterans affairs released a clip showing German troops assaulting the beaches on D Day for a 74th anniversary clip. Aired on national TV. Needless to say, history education is important. Once the error was discovered, I'm guessing someone was embarrassed.😎

I’m a FA18A super hornet pilot RAAF royal Australian Air Force my great grandfather was Australia bomber command on DDAY Have all his photos it was a epic sight thousands of air craft in the sky ships the lot crazy.
Great show, but I missed a visit at the USS Texas to show the aspects of the naval bombardement.

@@timback5279 She has a very distinct accent. I'm not from GB so I'm not sure what part has that dialect but a Brit could tell me within 5 seconds of hearing her.

Hi Lucy here Yes my accent is quite thick I was born in London and grew up in Portsmouth regularly visiting the capital. I also recently had my braces fitted when we started filming which effected my speech a little. But I’m glad you enjoyed the programme it was an honour 😁🇬🇧✌️

Ally S Cooper You are being very unfair to France. Nazi Germany under Hitler was determined to make war, and rehearsed by their takeover of Austria, Czechoslovakia, and of course Poland. Only by studying the events of 1940 , reading not just one book but many, will you hopefully appreciate why I suggest that you are being unfair. The intelligence supplied to the Allies by ordinary French people , who if caught were shot or sent to concentration camps, enabled the allied planners to construct their D-Day plan, success not being guaranteed. Frenchmen continued to fight ....General Leclerc, Commando’s and airmen, often using different names to protect their families. Once freed from occupation, the French army rapidly expanded and continued to fight to defeat Nazi Germany. I hope in the fullness of time that you change your mind.
WW2 started in 1936, when Japan invaded China.
