I miss the small, quick, good money jobs. Now that I have all the big equipment problems I long for the simpler life. Think long and hard about how big you want to go. Small equipment and lots of attachments so you can diversify will always make you good money. Large equipment will get bigger jobs but it also cost alot more to keep them running. Happy to see you doing good. That's how I started, just my wife and I.

Great content, keep it up. You can get a rock bit for the auger and as long as you go slow or start a pilot hole with a breaker so the bit doesn't walk, you can bore a hole through solid rock.

Replace the grinder with a planer bit fit to the auger drive. With small jobs, use the cost of a rental and delivery as a base to price any job and then look at adding your labor. Low prices this time get you instant cash and happy customer but you're short changing the business.

@@JamesMoVlogs In general, no, but revenue on the fence post-hole project seemed low by itself. Pricing jobs with specialty equipment like yours by the hour is less than ideal and doing so often leaves money on the table. Consider looking at each project, individually, and what value I deliver to the customer, not how long the work takes. Mobilization, insurance, operational overhead, labor rate, etc should be accounted for on every job, even those of opportunity or happy coincidence. All that said, it's literally your business and not mine. Respect for winning the work and generating income for your business!
