That battery looks much better than the ghetto setup you had before. Going by voltage is more accurate than the bikes display indicator. I have the 35A controller and someone on the Rad upgrades Facebook page posted a chart showing you the percentage at each voltage. Looking forward to your exploring more distant adventures.

On the charger Amperage, with a battery that’s twice as big, a 4 amp charger is still charging at less than the 2.5Amp one per battery cell on a battery half the size…

Oh my goodness, I have the same type of mailbox. The door on mine is currently broken, and I always worry about someone coming by and seeing my mail/packages, and taking it. I need to get a new mailbox. I just have to figure out how to put it up!

Hi Russ. How did you connect the two batteries?

If you are asking how it's wired... it is done essentially the same way that Stan The Reservoir Rat did his: kzread.info/dash/bejne/jJOHs5RxgZaupZc.html. They are not wired together. It is run one at a time. When one is run down, I disconnect it and plug in the other battery. It's safer and easier this way compared to running the two batteries i parallel. Today, I use TWO of the 52 volt, 20 aH batteries. One in the triangle and the other mounted to the rear rack. Check out my other video here:kzread.info/dash/bejne/nI2jt7KGncqTn9o.html

Say you had 2 batteries of 20 Ah, Running both batteries in parallel will give you a minimum of 2.7 times more range not the 2X that you would expect. It’s all to do with voltage sag.

Perhaps, but I am fine with running them one by one. I have enough range for where I go this way.
