    Yet again another great presentation. When you think of KZread videos you don’t assume this level of professionalism. I shouldn’t give you ideas Chris but you could charge airlines and their crews a lot of $€£ for these sessions ;-) Thanks again for making these available to us. I will support your book, and tell all of my 737 colleagues to follow your channel too 👍

    Thank you for your kind words. I guess I could charge but I am happy to give back to the next generation of 737 crews. All the best to you.

    56:32 that FDR test receptacle behind P18 de-energizes the DFDAU when you remove the cap. If you have a failure on DFDAU and it's C/B is in, checking that receptacle is a good practice before performing wiring checks.

    I had to check after 20 seconds whether this was posted on April 1st... was wondering if you would post a video explaining acronyms with sentences consisting purely of other, different acronyms :P

    Thanks Chris as usual. Great in detail for us flying 73nerds. I would like to know if it’s possible to see the input of each single control column/wheel. Say that the MCP has the left MA(CPT should be PF), but the F/O is manipulating his control column/wheel. Could you detect this on the QAR? Or by any other means? I tried asking our engineers, but they don’t know. Perhaps our safety department would know? The best answer I got was, maybe… and yet the 2 control columns are synchronized physically as we already know from your Flight Controls video. Thanks again Sir!

    Good morning Mr. Aisen, I know that the Avionics department/Technical records department from within a company may have access to such information. When a QAR download is called out in case of a, let’s say a hard landing report, they have this software that compiles I/O signals from all of the systems. Graphics are plotted and you can select whichever Input/Output to analyse in that particular case. Also this was the case when working for the AirForce in Romania as an Avionics Engineer on the Puma330 helicopters. I would also like to give special thanks and appreciation to Mr. Brady and this channel, such a wonderful and professional approach in providing this great content, keep up the great work and shout out if you ever need any pics and videos from Line Maintenance!

    After watching this video I was thinking back to the analytical skills of Fred Jones (set down in his memoir ‘ Air Crash’) where the story was unravelled from the physical evidence of the actual crash or event itself. How different it is today with modern FDR and CVR technologies that record significant aspects of any flight. These technologies should be extended to military aircraft and GA aircraft if possible. Understandably the costs would need to come down. Interesting subject, thank you.

    Cost, size and weight all need to come down. This is happening to some extent already. AIBs can put together a lot of info from data held in avionics and GPS devices but there is a long way to go.

    The VHF antenna signaled as nº 2 is really the VHF 3 antennna location, located aft of wheel well. VHF 2 location is at fwd lower fuselage location.

    There are different configs but all for the aircraft I have seen the lower aft antenna is either VHF 1 or 2 and the lower fwd antenna if fitted is for VHF 3. The upper can be either VHF 1 or 2.

    Hi there ..... Great videos ....... I have a question ........ does the CVR record the sounds from any external objects hitting the aircraft including birds strike or the aircraft hitting an obstacle while taxing ?

  • @ChrisBrady737

    @ChrisBrady737

    The CVR area mic is in the flightdeck, so it will only record external sounds if they are audible from the flightdeck.
