You’re extremely meticulous on your work and it’s super enjoyable to watch a fellow mechanic take that much pride in their work. Also props to your wife for being so involved with your operation. Keep them coming.

We have the exact same tractor with a fresh paint job and rebuilt motor. In my opinion this is the best tractor case ih ever made.

Looks great. You and the lovely Mrs. G should be damn proud of it. I would certainly take that tractor over something new, especially given the payments. Happy Easter everyone.

Looks good! I am running some tractors of the same vintage only mine are green. Those Magnums are almost as good as the 8000 series Deeres :) New stuff really doesnt do anything for me. Neighbors have all upgraded and I am running tractors I bought used 15-20 years ago. Last year around here was big for upgrades, cant count how many new 8R and 9R tractors are running around these parts. I like the no payments and simple. At the end of the day the Magnums and older Deeres get the same job done. Good luck in 24.

I'd take the fiberglass trim piece off the front right cornerpost of the cab and route that receiver cable down the post and up through the cable access by the fuse panel. I usually run that cable from the receiver up under the cab lid right by the wiper and then over to the corner post. Running it in the back window is pretty bush league, especially on a machine as nicely done as that one.

Yeah im not doing anymore to it just so ya know boss lol. That was the auto steer tech that ran it that way and I'm truly not that kinda obsessive compulsive to care about that crap. The cable access is crammed clear full of an iso harness already

@@rgfarmsrepair503 thought so probably a good idea even on a newer tractor. Them planters are hydraulic hogs

@obieacres4676 yeah even on my t8360 that had the twin pump mega flow I still was using a ton of the hyd capabilities. And I thought about ur question on the cat hyd system I could be wrong but I think the 1 half of the mega flow is used for steering motors on them.

@@rgfarmsrepair503 does your cat have the twin pumps. The mega flows on the genesis tractors like mine had 55gal/min flow. Btw the magnum looks awesome. I thought about getting a 8970 instead of the t8 but some of the transmission parts are getting harder to come by. My transmission was completely rebuild 400hr ago and they had to get the parts from another supplier.. also don’t know if you have watched any of my videos lately but I bought a caseih 1250 planter and just got done getting the pro700 and gps working in my genesis.

Only thing I would take in that new 240 over the 7250 is the cab. Figure out what you’re going to do with the Pete grain truck?

@@rgfarmsrepair503How many hours do you think you guys have in this project? Let’s assume 350 hours at 165 per hour labor cost, your still less than half of a new tractor. Thank you for breaking this all down.
