[Builder's view] Aoshima GPZ900R and Tamiya H2R is in progress.
This time is the work of Ninja H2R.
I made a muffler.
The muffler of this Tamiya kit is a very beautiful plated part.
Since it is a great deal, I will make use of this plating and paint the muffler as if it was burnt by heat.
If you use a file to erase the gate marks, the plating will peel off excessively, so cut it carefully with a knife and paste a small piece of mirror finish from above to hide it.
For painting, use the three "color sources (Creos Mr.color/CR1 CR2 CR3)" of lacquer, and spray with an airbrush in order from the color you want to produce the most.
When I checked the actual vehicle, the muffler spring had anti-vibration rubber, so I put a heat-shrinkable tube over the muffler spring to express it.

I've viewed quite a few methods to replicate the heat stains, others use 4 to 6 different paints and they are just "Ok" but yours is by far most realistic (obviously) Oh and the brackets are a work of art. Sensei Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Wow, fantastic finish on the exhaust. You have overcome the problem of plated parts - the sprue gate with Mirror Finish - an absolutely fantastic idea! Thank you also for introducing me to the concept of prime colours for exhausts. Do you think the Gaianotes primary colours would be as effective? It also highly dependant on the supreme shine of the base - in this case the chrome plate? Have you experienced it working as well on an Alclad or Tamiya LP finish? Thanks for your continued inspiration!!

Thank you for your comment. I've never used Gaianotes primary colors because I'm happy with the Creos colors ... I'm sorry. Alclad does not have the same effect as it loses its brilliance when coated on top.
Vibrant exhaust color 👍. Did you directly spray the lacquer over the chrome plating?

Wow Fantastic job, congrats...!!! What wire you used for the muffler spring brackets? what are those springs? and finally, what size of heat shrink was use on the springs? thanks and happy new year

Since the size is not written on the product, it is decided by appearance. The wire is 0.3mm, the spring is from the top studio, and the heat shrink tube is about 2mm. Thanks.

Which paint do you use more often for paint, acrilyc or enamel base

Basically I use lacquer(Creos Mr.color), water-based paint(Tamiya and vallejo) and enamel(Tamiya).
お疲れ様でした。H2Rってホント、フレーム周りの美しいバイクですね。カーボンモノコックとかにしなくて良かった。 マフラーのメガホンの処理は流石です。よくこんな事思いつきますね（笑）。

図解さんの作っているものは最早模型ではないですね。縮小された本物です。芸術といっても過言ではないですね。
メッキパーツのゲート処理はどうするんだろう、ミラーテープかな…？と思ってたら予想が当たって嬉しかったです(笑)！でもそのあとのスプリングの工作でぶっ飛びました。相変わらず細部のこだわりに魅了されてます！

径は0.2を使っていて圧は弱めにやってます。が、径0.3でも大丈夫だと思います。

エアブラシのほうが塗料は少なくて済みますね。うすめ液加えて5滴ぐらいあれば結構塗れますよ。(つまりエアブラシです)
今回もため息しか出ません。 とてもマネ出来ない。
