love it, my comfort zone

Why is every contemporary architect and interior designer using COLD COLORS and TEXTURES? It's extremely alienating. Why don't they see this?

Gorgeous house, gorgeous pool, landscaping, upgrades, etc., but I'm not sure I would be comfortable taking a shower in the en suite, knowing there is a full length clear glass window visible to the pool deck???
