It really was a cool boat!

I thought it was a cool looking sailboat and actually thought it was going to be aluminum.. thanks for taking us on this journey.. you should check out this old sailor who is after years of sailing with his wife who has passed away learning to be a solo sailor.. he built the sailboat that he is on in the 70s and splashed her in October of 1977.. ancient mariner is the name of his channel.. he just started and doesn't have many subscribers.. he's just one of those guys who has forgotten more than most will ever ever know.. I think you would enjoy his videos Capt Topher.. tell Capt Norm I said hello and thanks for the entertainment.. I've fallen in love with ferrocement sailboats.. after reading about Capt Fatty Goodlander and the one he built and sailed himself with his wife and kids for years. .

Thanks Ben!! I actually thought it was an aluminum boat as well when we pulled up. I will check out that KZread channel as soon as I get to the dock today.

SV Tapatya Ep 302 has a tour of the Hogfish being built in Denmark. Quite interesting. I like plywood boats though lol. Thanks mate.

After watching the video I will admit I love these type of sailboats..where someone decides to build their dream boat.. they always seem to be special and this one didn't disappoint.. really cool and fairly simple to build

I could tell that it was a special boat as we came past it to dock, and I was right it is really cool!

It should read "Hippies Use Side Entrance", always meant as an ironic "inside" (ha ha) joke.

No, not really. It’s kind of a whole different kind of boat. Sure would want one though if I was going to just hang out in the Bahamas for sure.
