I have been belittled relentlessly by my family for being so sensitive or emotional. For having such deep empathy for others. *My whole head of hair has changed after watching your curly hair video. My hair is super fine and I'd always been warned Don't use too much product or it'll weigh it down. Now I use a serum/gel and then mouse and I get thick and beautiful now! So thanks JVN!*

Yes! The right number of cats is/could be more than I have now. So just before this February’s series of freezes, I saw a bw kitty hanging out in the hood. Cute but dusty coat showing she was homeless. Not anymore. Katana is now ruling the roost at Chez Sherí! The others are pissed but I’m happy. Esp every time it’s cold or raining and I watch her safe and cozy inside. Best feeling in the world.

I LOVE '70s hair!! That's when I was a teenager. I still tip my head and hair forward to blow dry my hair from underneath and also focus on the roots for lift. 😘

I was a teen in the 70s too. When I think of the 70s, I think long straight hair...like her hair before he did anything! That was my hair all through HS and the day I graduated. Wasn't until late 70s I got it layered and bangs feathered to do the "Farrah"...hahaa

I have a wavy curly hair pattern (curly in front, wavy in back lol) so this is my everyday 🥳 no but I can style and scrunch and it’ll be curly and I can comb it (wide tooth) after a day or two and it’ll be soft big waves I love it so much (shoulder length hair right now so the tucking behind the ears helps it ☺️)

I was wondering if you could do a tutorial/video on haircuts. I have similar hair to you (wavy/curly with products & diffuser) and I never know what haircut to ask for. Light layers? Defined layers? Have you ever done a short 70s style such as the Dorothy Hamil wedge? It’s certainly not common now but it is cute and sassy and has great movement.

Let’s go 70s hair!!

I usually sleep in either a loose braid or braided pigtails. (My hair is almost down to my waist and I call it my 70's Cher hair; I just wear it all one length and straight.) Is that a safe way to wear it to sleep or should it be on top of my head? Also, total side note: Do you watch Kitten Lady on KZread? I can see you doing what she does in another life. (I could see you wanting to do it in this one, but I don't know where you would ever find the time!! You do so much!!) I loved this video btw. I love watching you work and interact with other humans!! ❤Thank you for sharing it with us.

I will use those from time to time but try to put my hair up in a loose bun whenever I can so the heat from my body and pillowcase doesn’t damage my hairs!!

JVN,do you have your own salon? I’ll bet it’s a loving place like Steel Magnolias and Dollys salon!😃

JJ, please teach us to do this on fine, thinning hair like mine. I hide away most days and truly despair whenever I have something important to attend like a job interview or a wedding!

I would swap out the nurture conditioner for some embody conditioner, and then go through the routine! Make sure you get that mousse and powder to add volume at the roots, too!

With fine hair you may need to tease a bit at the base/ crown to create a cushion at the base to support the fullness and it will look fuller.

Hi! I answered this in JVN School, but short answer: 3-4x a week UNLESS you need to wash daily for work, exercise, then make sure you are using silicone free products, a mask and scalp treatment ❤️❤️❤️

I'm watching this while waiting for my bleach to process. I'm curious, what's your go to hair mask or deep conditioning treatment for hair that's super damaged? I love my blonde but my hair is screaming for moisture lol

I have oily hair, so I'm VERY intrigued by Jonathan's advice to avoid shampoos containing mineral oil... Maybe explore a spray volumizer? "It's a 10" has a "Light" line that I've been liking.

I have really thick wavy hair that I have grown out past my shoulders for maybe the first time in my life? I’ve always explained the look I’m going for as a news anchorwoman/ stepmom kind of vibe, I love big bouncy hair with a lot of volume, my hair holds curl really well so my go to is to do big curls toward my face, very close to the results in this video. I only have a curling iron that’s 1.25 I think, I normally will air dry my hair fully and then use the curling iron to curl it but the wave in my hair and the texture lately have been a bit too frizzy looking for the smooth, shiny buoyancy I’m interested in to really show. I don’t know what styling tool I need, it takes so long to blow dry my hair I have tried to learn to skip it, I’ve been looking at 2” curling irons. I’ve never used a flat iron and I have enjoyed hot rollers in the past, though they may not be large enough. Why aren’t curling irons more common? I’ve always used one! How do I smooth out but not flatten air dried hair? What am I doing wrong?

Just take some tips and leave the rest for your big 70s party!

Putting hair up in a pineapple on top of the head and sleeping on a silk pillowcase will both help keep hair from pulling and matting up in the morning.

Hi! Based on her hair type and ensuring she had enough moisture in her hair for the styling! If she had more thin hair I would lean into embody! I put a quiz in the description too to help with hair type and products!

Jonathan, any tips for not constantly putting my hair behind my ears? I wear it down and love looks like this, but it either falls too much in my face, or just by force of habit I’m always tucking it behind my ears while it’s down. What do you think? Thanks and love as always!!!

I literally try to achieve this Farrah Fawcett hair because I have curtain bangs but the problem is that I have a lot of hair and it’s thick. So my hair just like falls back to how it was 😭. I absolutely love 70s hair but my hair is so stubborn HELP.
