Great little camera... However it's not a downside to use the app to get your photos... That's a key feature. You can grab the shot and then upload to cloud or your phone... Waaaay easier than taking out a memory card

@@NrityaK yes! Works great. Does everything they say it will. I must confess tho, I've not hard wired it in yet. So it only works when driving. I am planning on wiring it in this weekend. The only thing i didn't like it use is the ADAS mode for lane departure and front collision monitor. It works well, just too much noise from it from my driving. Get it, you'll be happy with it

Great video! I have had mine since it was release and I never got to install it until this week when I remember I was in the trunk lol. I had purchased with the 4G hardwireing kit thinking it would also work with the surveillance mode. Unfortunately thats not how it work. So I just order the regular hard wire kit. Thanks for a very detailed review it helped me out a lot.

I got another 70 Mia dash cam and a Garmin 47, and I just got the 360 70 mai and I love it. I didn't get the hard wire kit because I keep the cam on 24-7 anyways, I won't get the parking following option but I'm fine with that. I recommend the 360 cam.

I thought about purchasing but two big cons..1) proprietary cable to make the camera features work. While it's cheap, I see no fuse taps included and other videos have shown ppl simply wiring the cable straight onto the fuse. 2) Internal only storage. Being an eMMC, there's no indication of how many writes the drive has before failure (which it will).

I work in cybersecurity. I have a second phone with no contacts or any other personal data (within reason), different Google account as well. A bit of a pain, but worth it.

It remembers me from R2 from Star wars, I bought it and it's awesome 👌

Great video. I have a question. Do you the range of the parking feature. One or two city blocks?

As an owner of 70mai camera I'd like to add that sometimes songs trigger it to do things. would be better if it had some phrase to activate like "hey omni" or "hey dash" or whatever.

Very well articulated and presented. How do you find rear view without a rear camera ? Does it help if you were to track rear side …. Especially in the case of an unfortunate impact from rare ?

Thanks. It has some limitations for rear viewing because seat headrest can get in the way based on where the camera is mounted. Some dash cams do a better job for the rear viewing features

Hi Don, I was w2omdering which camera and setup you prefer. The Nextbase or the 70mai? I noticed that the 70mai does not have 4K capabilities BUT the Next Base does not have Park Mode.

Hey bud i have a question... ive been having trouble hardwiring this to my 2019 mustang gt. I purchased some fuse taps on amazon today and i just seen this video. Do you think for the red wire, a 7.5A fuse (power mirror memory module) (always on) will be enough power? And i have a 10A for the acc fus, will that be enough power? I was going to put 10A fuses on top of the original fuses bc thats what they come with...

Don, I have the same truck but I’m amiss as to what fuses in the passenger side fuse box you used. Can you give me some guidance as to your fuse choices? Thanks Jeff

I made this video with a prerelease product. The app was only available through Apple’s TestFlight Beta Testing App. I didn’t have to give full access to my phone for testing. How could I mention anything about the final version before it was completed months later? I apologize, but this was a review of what I had to work with at that moment in time.

I like this. So it can be left on 24/7? Does it just record overtop the oldest footage when it gets full? And it will follow someone as they walk around the vehicle? What does it do if a person is on both sides at same time?

Stays on 24/7 with the hardwire kit, but to protect your battery it will stop parking surveillance mode if your voltage drops too low for restarting the vehicle. The time I was testing it, the algorithm will attempt to follow the most significant threat, not people walking by randomly. I didn’t test multiple people at the same time. There are some more reviews for this camera on KZread too

There isn’t a ‘right’ one to connected to. You just need one that provides the on/off power your looking for.

Can it record front and rear at the same time? Reason I ask is say if you have a side-on collision, and the camera was facing the front, by the time it rotates to catch the action on the side, it's probably already too late.

The ability to give voice commands to record left or right during a traffic stop sounds like a great feature, but I question the wisdom of making the command “shoot”. That would seem risky language while in confrontation with law enforcement. There may have been some subconscious designer bias at work in that choice. Hopefully they can correct it with a software upgrade.

I just ordered two of these dash cams myself. The only issue I can see later on the quick twist dismount would become brittle and break off due to the sun's UV. also, would like them to use a 90 degrees USB-C connector for best hiding the cable and not sticking out straight. In addition, the ADAS voice response should be able to set a separate volume control in case the driver is falling asleep and wake up the driver when leaving his/her lane.

While testing it didn’t drain my battery in Parking Mode. It also has a battery safe function and can turn itself off if the battery gets too low. It is a neat camera for the price

How would I hardwire this camera to the fuse box on a Challenger? The fuse box for the Challengers are located in the trunk.

Absolutely, If you can find an OBD2 compatible adapter.

Does this have any safety features that it can incorporate? For instance, Blindspot monitoring or telling us we’re getting too close to the car in front of us or not to back up right now there’s somebody coming that’s what I would like it to do it needs to do more than just show me what it’s looking at. It needs to make some decisions and warn me.

How would this camera work in the case of an accident? My 2019 Sierra was just in a wreck from a person who ran a stop sign and hit me in the passenger front wheel area. Assuming continuous recording is as on it would capture whatever was in it’s field of view. It sounds like you were moving so parking surveillance mode wouldn’t be on in that case to automatically look to the side you were hit

Brother please help, I did everything connected but the 4G module flashes red, as I understand it, it cannot recognize the SIM card, although the SIM card is new and it has a 10 euro margin, I don't know what to do

These cameras do everything but what you need it for. All I need is a highly motion sensitive camera that records 360 with live feed to my phone for free. Is that too much to ask for?

Are you notified right away if someone walks up to your car? Also, can this be used inside a home as well? I keep getting items stolen from my home and would love to catch the thieves on camera. No other cameras I've searched for home work well w my weak internet.

Not unless you have to have the 4G install option (not available in North America) please check for list of compatible countries. When I tested the pre-release model, I had to pull on the door handle or tap a body panel for it to wake up, start recording and look for me. The footage would only record to the device to be retrieved later.

people are saying it only records 10 seconds to the right or the left! why didnt you mention that? its a major complaint

It’s decent for a budget priced dash cam. It comes down to what feature you want it for. I don’t like having to use the app to get the footage off, but it is not a deal breaker, just less convenient for me

All reviewers seem to skip this part even though it’s one of the main selling points. Mine is installed with the hardwire kit and AI parking surveillance is not working at all, it will only record if it detects a collection. I’ve seen comments on other reviews complaining about the same thing. I hope that 70mai is pushing an update soon to fix this.

You probably have to reach out to the manufacturer. The 4G kit isn’t compatible in North America so I excluded it from the review. Keep in mind, the unit I had was not the final production model, so some details could change
