70 AD Doctrine Pt1

The A.D. 70 Doctrine
The second coming of Christ has been on the minds of men since He ascended into the clouds in the first century. Acts 1 Several false theories were being taught about His second coming. II Thessalonians 2:1-3a. The belief that Jesus came for the last time in the first century is still with us today and must be dealt with.
In particular, the so-called “A.D. 70 Theory” is being advocated by many in the Lord’s church. It is also called “Realized Eschatology” or the “Max King Theory” named after the one who brought it into the churches of Christ. He has written two books that set forth this theory of Christ’s second coming: The Spirit of Prophecy (1971) and The Cross and the Parousia of Christ (1987).
This theory contends that the second coming of Christ, the establishment of the eternal kingdom, the day of judgment, the end of the world, and the resurrection of the dead all occurred in A.D. 70 with the destruction of Jerusalem and the fall of Judaism.

I wish I could hear him explain all the melted structures all across the world... FERVENT Heat, and the 700 years that have been added to our timeline. And all the magnificent structures built worldwide with no power tools... Satan has been loosed on earth for a little Season. I believe we are at the White Throne Judgement. If Satan is not in charge of this mess than who is. I mean he's actually made people believe they're all a ball hurtling thru space 1.5 million miles per hour while orbiting the sun at 66,600mph. Yes, most Christians actually fell for this. We are stationary just like it says in the Bible. Satan controls most churches... The pastors are nothing more than gatekeepers. I'm not sure if it really matters where we are on the timeline as long as we stay ready by staying in prayer and staying in the word. God Bless

Agree. It’s as if he doesn’t really know what scripture says happens after the millennial kingdom. There is a little season of Satan before the great white throne judgement and the new heaven and new earth. So if we are in the little season we still have the hope of the final destruction of Satan and the new heaven abs new earth.

Yes but if you followed the next chapter and the other ones you thought that come to pass because the scripture says that when the Holy Spirit came upon them when he appeared to them during. 40 days daywind and actin when are you going to establish the Kingdom of Israel in Jerusalem look at the way he responds to them go to Jerusalem feet he's answering them because they were still waiting for a literal Kingdom that they can see with the eyes like many Christians today keto the weight in Jerusalem and wait for the promise what the promise have to do with the kingdom of God being established when the Holy Spirit came upon them like the clouds that cover them that's when they understood that the kingdom of God is within you you're touchy Acts chapter 1-4 you got to read the rest of the chapters and it's answer right there and even in the other Epistles you see it very clearly there is no one coming from the sky and everybody shall see him that is symbolic

My take on the narrative, of the Book of Revelation, is this: The Revelation was given to John by Christ to deliver His message to seven churches in Asia, written in signs for events that would soon take place beginning in the first century. The book concerns itself with the defeat of the enemies of Christ and His church, who were empowered by Satan, and ultimately he (Satan) was also defeated. The Jews were the first to persecute the Christians, documented in the Book of Acts, beginning with the stoning of Stephen, and continuing through to one of the last stonings of the Jews, recorded by Josephus (62 AD), the death of James, the brother of Jesus. Israel, with its capital city, Jerusalem, the adulterous harlot, or Babylon, rode the beast (Roman Empire - "We have no king but Caesar, crucify Him! Let this man's blood be on us and on our children"). The harlot acknowledged her adultery, "I am not a widow," meaning that she still has a husband, and he is not dead. The beast hated her, however, and eventually destroyed her (70 AD), and with the punishment reserved for the daughters of priests who became harlots, she was burned up by fire. God had been "married" to Israel, who never was faithful to Him, and because of her spiritual adultery, she was "executed" as Jewish law permits by the Romans. This allowed the Bride of Christ (church), the New Jerusalem, to take her rightful position at the marriage supper of the Lamb. She replaced the executed adulterous Old Jerusalem as this bride. Next, the beast, with the forced worship of its Emperor as God by all of its citizens, was dealt with. The beast continued to persecute the church and eventually was defeated by the rider of the white horse (Christ), whose weapon was the sword of the Spirit coming from His mouth (the gospel, the Word). By the 4th century, the Roman Empire declared Christianity the state religion of the Roman Empire and, in complete reversal, the church had triumphed. Eventually, Paganism was made illegal, conquering the beast. For a lengthy period of time (millennium), Satan was prohibited (bound) from empowering nations to continue to persecute Christians on a worldwide basis like the Roman Empire days, and simultaneously the martyred souls who were slaughtered came to life and reigned with an already reigning Christ. This allowed Christianity to flourish and progress throughout this period, uninhibited and spread to every corner of the world. Then, after this lengthy time period (millennium), an event yet still in the future, Satan will be released briefly to attempt to empower all of the nations for worldwide persecution of the church once again, hoping to finally destroy them (he surrounds the great city, the New Jerusalem). Just before this occurs, however, Christ intervenes and destroys Satan and then institutes the final judgment of all humanity. Then eternity begins with the righteous receiving their reward and the damned sentenced to eternal punishment. As far as the millennium goes, I consider myself amill. Things are definitely not getting better. IMO, if we are not currently living in the days of Revelation 20:7-10, then we definitely are not far from it. When the French Revolution happened, with its Cult or Age of Reason, the influence on Christianity in Europe was forever changed. Because of this, by the mid 19th century, you had the writings of Karl Marx and Charles Darwin, both who greatly influenced the 20th century. Here we are in the early 21st century, and Christianity in the West is in retreat. The religious "nones" are the fastest growing group in America. Churches in Europe are being turned into museums. Muslims are growing fast in the East. This is not progress.

I think Psalm 102 sheds a lot of light on this. Many people say the first few verses of this chapter might even refer to the Holocaust during WW2. Then, it says that favor will be shown to Zion's stones and dust by the servants of the Lord. Psalm 102:13-15. That then at this time the Lord will appear in His glory. Psalm 102:16. And that this is written to the generation to come, still not born. Psalm 102:18. This fits in with Matthew 24:32-35 and the parable of the fig tree. Luke 13:6-8, Hosea 9:10. Note the 3 times He came expecting to find fruit. The first time during the Exodus wilderness wanderings. And a judgment thereafter every time He came and didn't find fruit. #1 perished in the desert #2 Babylonian captivity, #3 70AD Micah 7:1 Before #4 Israel must be regathered, blossoming, and be living safely in their own land. Ezekiel 38:8, Joel 2:22. Israel was scattered and desolate in 70AD, not blossoming or living in safety. Jesus declared this in Matthew 23:37-38. Matthew 21:18-19 But as Psalm 102 and Ezekiel 38 show us, along with the parable of the fig tree in Matthew 24:32-35, Israel cannot be desolate at the time of Christ's second coming. Note again, the arrival of the presence of the Lord here in Ezekiel 38:20, just as we see in Psalm 102:16, and Matthew 24:29-30 accompanied with the shaking of the earth. And see the similarities in the plague that God will send among the ungodly. Ezekiel 38:21, Zechariah 14:13, Psalm 2:4 Because they had an evil plan: Psalm 2:1, Ezekiel 38:10, Psalm 21:8-11 Amos 9 Verse 15: No longer be pulled up It's interesting that while we see all these verses about being desolate, and being withered, and unfruitful, and judgment... within these same verses are verses about a fruitful remnant, a deliverance, and a salvation, singing... Amos 8, Joel 1:12, Joel 2:22, 32, Isaiah 30:27-30

The irony is that language always changed. It doesn’t matter what it means to me and you. We must grasp what it meant from the writer to his contemporary audience. “Don we now our gay apparels” in “Deck the Hall” for example. Or like trying to get my grandma to understand a rap song from today, let alone the 90s. The Hebrew culture is a whole different culture. Word for word translations are good but try translating “out of thin air” or “the cat’s out the bag” word for word in Swahili and see how well they understand you 😂. Since the Holy Spirit uses translations in different intelligible languages, He uses the understanding of Hebrew culture, idioms and motifs.
