Not true...money dont have shit to do with this sport. Its knowing how to set up a car and how to use it. I've destroyed plenty of deep pocket big engine cars with my shitty Vic's and bone stock engine...😁

He is new at this. He will learn to run a way higher gear to get some tire speed.6000 rpm and a low gear wont do it as sen in this vid. Geat it higher and then turn the tires faster, and you will do something.

Didn't make any hits I couldn't have with a 4 cyl. Learn how to setup the suspension to handle the power, and how to setup your foot to harness the power. Super impressed with how it sounds. That thing would be awesome on the street.

I was at this demo, the reason for the 10 min red flag was because one of the cars blew the radiator and sprayed both the driver and passenger in which they were giving one of them medical attention for burns.

I'd like that motor in my truck :)

I understand the red flag, it looks like a rad blew and someone probably got burnt, What was the officials going around and saying to everyone?

Overkill? 😆 that must just spin so much compared to a lower hp engine on that mud. Am I wrong? I mean unless they have some really good tires that hook up but it doesn't look like it. Couldn't you pretty much do the same thing with a stock 170hp 305 with like 3.42s or something. Sounds fuckin awesome though!

Every time that thing goes past about 6k rpm you're starving the rod bearings, wrist pins, mains, and lifers for oil, causing heat and sloppy tolerances which leads to harmonics and eventually to catastrophic failure of one of the listed components. The fix would be one serious high volume oil pump or f you for whatever reason choose to stick with the stock one you could run a twin external electric pump up front. Revving to the sky can be risky if the builder does not know what their doing!

Its not 700hp. Its not reving to 9,000 rpm and the idle is not lopey enough to be making power at that kind of rev.

Why on earth was the cowl notched? It seems like that would just weaken it. Unless, of course, it allows for engine setback to protect the engine. Just seems like an idea not worth doing.

What planet do you live on? 1st the tach is at the bottom so you can see it hit 9k, 2nd it is easy to hit 9k+ in a demo car because your in the mud and the tires are spinning, This motor was clearly built to handle 9000 rpm. Because most stock Big blocks would blow if held at 6500k for a few seconds.

because this 700 hp is totally unreliable. remember, at a demo, you only get about 20 mins to and you can throw everything away..at a drag or circle track, youre spending like 10 k in parts to spin like that and make multiple passes. don't ever put a claimer engine in a drag car....

Why that motor if it gets smahed yoir out a 700hp motor id rather just run a sbc with maybe a cam thats a waiste of a motor

To pull 700hp out of that engine you'd need 13.5:1 compression, and a single carb, bullshit, 300hp or less

@anonymous im making 647hp on a stock block 383 stroker with TD shaft rockers, 13:1 compression AFR 220 heads and a .645/.645 cam. Your combo must be stock compression and a small cam.

Why waste an engine like that in a demo derby. I know. Cause those guys arent the sharpest tool in the shed.

Talk about revving the shit out of a motor for no reason probably makes more like 350 it’s easy to make one scream and demo dummies will buy anything they think is cool 😎

Too many rpms. Not very effective. Sounds great..sure it looks great as well. Throw some sand tires on it and take to the sand strip!

Steven Hill You haven't seen a pro-mod class derby then. The average cost of a pro derby engine alone is about $6000. There's a local guy that runs a $14,000 motor and it is absolutely beautiful. These guys nowadays will buy a car for $1200, put a $7500 motor in it, with a $2000 transmission, an $850 driveshaft and a thousand dollar rear end. Not to mention all the other stuff they put in the car such as cage, tranny cooler, oil cooler, twin batteries, etc. The stuff they do to compete nowadays is kinda ridiculous but it's sure fun to watch haha.

+Steven Hill There are tons of guys that are trying to ruin the derby with built cars like this, you can always identify them easily, the car sounds awesome and they drive around and make candy ass hits waiting for everyone else to break down. Holy crap, it took 27 minutes to get a decent hit out of this car. I hate sand-baggers.
