Perhaps you already did this and just spoke incorrectly, but if you take Gandalf in the Shire list itself, and then ally in Aragorn from the Rangers (rather than fellowship), you won't lose the army bonus, as Rangers is Green alliance rather than Yellow. The Aragorn profile is exactly the same, but it'll mean he and the hobbits all have woodland creature. Small change but worth it, given it's free!

Age of Man is over is Hatred(Men) and has no effect against Hobbits

That was a really great battle report! The age of men is over special rule seems like a waste against an opponent with only one man model, but if you'd remembered it Aragorn would have died very early on, those morannons needed 4s to wound him and guritz needed 3s, or 2s with his 2HW!

Yeah this is very true! We're trying to make it interesting by using lots of different armies but it does mean we forget rules sometimes! 😅

Hey got a quick question on the double dice to wound. I thought when doing the wounds you roll the 2 dice as one strike so even if its 2 6's its just the one wound. Not 2 wounds off one strike otherwise aragon could do 8 wounds on the charge.

So you double each Strike, each of which has to be aimed at a single target- but each of those doubled strikes can cause a wound. So if Aragorn successfully rolled to wound on every dice on a cavalry charge he could cause 8 wounds on a single model, or he could kill four seperate models that have one or two wounds each. He would never be able to kill five models. Hope that makes sense!

Hey just heads up I checked up on this with a tourny moderator and a few other channels but you can't do.more wounds than you have strikes so those 26's you role only count as 1 wound

Hi, unfortunately I can't put a screenshot on here but I've been to about six tournaments now and always played it that way and had it played that way against me. I stuck it in the GBHL Facebook group just to be sure and the response I got was that this is correct: "I thought we were right but just to clarify so we're absolutely clear - Aragorn on horse charges in against an Infantry model. He could in theory deal 8 wounds to one model. Or seperate out each of his four attacks as pairs and kill a maximum of four different models ? " Hope that helps, or happy to be pointed out in a different direction if you have a link.

Another great bat rep! I’ve subbed :) Hate to bring up rules (again) but Aragorn can’t use his free point of might to come on the board, models have to be on the board to use special rules such as mighty hero so he’d should have used one from his store.

Haha please do continue to tell us! Our playing only against each other shows sometimes, as we attend more tournaments and play more different people we'll get all these more niche rules nailed. Probably would have made quite a big difference to this game so just don't tell anyone this time 😅🤫🤐
