I have never been to a dedicated sled race, I have seen a dozen exhibition runs over the last 30 years but this is great entertainment. Thanks Jack for sharing this with us in the warm climates who may never get to see it.

I love the throttle commitment of these racers. Even while drifting toward the wall if the race is close they stay on the throttle. Awesome.👍👍👍

I used to do this on ice. Factory race yamaha SSR 440, seriously good ride when she hooked up well, but damn 700 hp, that's gotta show ya where homes at! Cool this vid showed up on my B-day

Sleds are insane lighter faster more hp. Every year gets better. Had a sled 10 years ago. 97 polaris xcr x tra 10 tripple piped PSI 800 kit DG tripple silencers fox shocks 151 extend track. 2 " paddle. Fun. Great in deep snow.

I raced sleds in the snow, unfortunately sometimes it was more like frozen dirt. Also did a few grass drags in the summer. Nothing like 7500 RPM clutch engagement to a butt load of picks and zero spin. All of mine were strictly motor (2 stroke)

Wow Jack your footage is awesome! The only thing I could suggest is when you are talking to your audience maybe stop talking to your monitor and look directly into your lens. This way we feel like you are talking directly to us, your viewing audience. Thanks for all you do to keep drag racing alive!

Having grass dragged years ago, with and against competitors, we were all friends and actually helped each other out when needed. I was really, serious REALLY disappointed that the speeds where not captured under those heavy mods. Like, lets get real " Lowest time in the race is the winner, but the faster mph is a bragging point" means the driver was sleeping on the line, 660 feet, best reaction time quite often wins....

Martin US131 , if you can't hook there you won't hook anywhere. Yep always wanted to asphalt drag. Klotz synthetic my favorite 2 stroke oil . Works great and smell is great. Still wonder other people's opinion on that. Kinda like smelling nitro or methanol.

How do you hold onto the handlebars when you launch that thing?

Had 97 xcr extra 10 800 triple. Never drag raced it. Was going to put the motor in kx 1100 roller I had. Never paned out.

Didn't go this year sadly usually go with my uncles and cousin aka the Philippon family.

Still trips me out watching them do a burnout

I have a Susuki GSXR 1000 Built up pretty good with $4500 in upgrades..It puts out 230HP @13,500 rpm 197 MPH on the Dyno..I understand it's a bike and that this is a snowmobile but I still can't imagine 700 HP..

What's next? Watermobile? flyjet?

I don’t know if it’s a dumb question but do they still work in the snow?

Not with how they are set up. Would at least need to put a paddle track, skis, and raise the whole sled, just to move on the snow.

We have 2,3, and 4 cylinder 4 strokes of different makes of engines being used, I can tell you I don't think he is hitting 212mph the fastest mph a sled I've heard for the top of the line drag sled guys is ALMOST 170mph and that's from hurricane performance out of Canada

So this is 1/8th mile racing? What do they do on the 1/4 mile?

Know if you’ve got a 700 hp sled and you’re going to drag race it on asphalt why would you line up in the centre of the track left side right side go to where there’s rubber he’s spinning the track all the way down that’s incredible I want to see that thing on the snow

I went to Lowville 20 years ago at the insistence of a cousin. Racing was ok but the crowds behavior was terrible. They just wanted to get drunk and act like imbeciles. Very clannish up there. You try to talk engines and they walk away because you ain’t from here sonny. I never went back.
