Exactly! I wish people would understand this. I've seen plenty of stories reported of YOUNG parents who have lost their lives and aren't around for their kid(s). There have been fathers-to-be that have died prior to the child's birth. Mothers that died during child birth. So it kills me when people talk about older people having kid(s) and not being alive for the kid(s). Life happens!

No, people lived MUCH longer in those days, unlike today's men and women 70+. AND, times were safer and different. Further, Sarah's pregnancy was a MIRACLE directly from God. This woman has absolutely had scientific help. Two completely different things. And chances are, she won't be around for most of their lives.

Safina doesn't even look like 70. People need to realise, not very woman's body goes through the same thing. If she was able to produce a child and her body carried for 9 months and they came out healthy, kudos to her. She would have to know for herself if she can keep up with them. We ought to stop forcing our cultures and mentality on others who aren't ' the norm'. In most african cultures, and the Caribbean, where I'm from, yes the village helps raise the child, that is something that has been done for centuries.

If a woman couldn’t have children and be able to take care of them he wouldn’t bless her womb to be fruitful! It takes a while village to bring up a child no matter what age of parents…. Unless you are living in a selfish non caring society. She’s African and her whole village is with her. Well done Safina you are blessed! Blessed womb. There are many children growing up without mother's that unfortunately passed away so you can't use that logic to say that this woman should not have a child at 70 because she may not be here long enough to see the children grow old. I hope she lives to see her grandkids. That’s a bit less likely now, & if she does she likely won’t be in their lives very long. Though chances are lower, she looks pretty healthy, so you never really know. I pray she defies those odds for the sake of the following generations.

This is to the show management and Sherie Shepherd, I kindly suggest that before talking about things in the media or news the show needs to learn more about the people involved especially people with different culture and economic background. This would help you be more sensitive in what u say. If you get the full story behind her decision, you can't make such comments..

Everybody dies even young people. You can’t stop living and enjoying life due to fear of dying Sherri. It doesn’t work that way.

Larry King and many of these old men celebrities get kids at these ages with young females that can be their daughters, yet we never berate them like we do when women are in the same situation. I can understand it’s not fair to the children for many reasons. Regardless of a village helping for the upbringing, one of the major issues I see, is that the child’s/children life will be focus on taking care of their parent at a very early age as age difference will be a major factor.

Having a baby @ 70 yrs old is selfish, in my opinion, unless it's divine intervention or there has been an agreement made with another person or a group, that is willing to take responsibility for child or children should the parent pass. I'm sorry. I'm with Sherri. My cousin just went through this. Shortly after her 18th bday, her Mom was turning 60 & passed away & the grandmother passed 2 months later🤯😥.
