8. "Battlestar Galactica" Commercial Bumper
9. Parcheesi ("Last night with the guys in the dorm" :gives knowing look:)
10. Sears Bonnet Canopy Bed Sale

12. "Battlestar Galactica" Commercial Bumper
13. Bell System
14. Pillsbury Plus Yellow Cake

17. Timex
18. "Battlestar Galactica" End Credits
19. ABC News Brief

31. ABC Station ID
32. Rolaids
33. Volkswagen Rabbit Diesel
34. Promo for "Happy Days", "Laverne & Shirley", "Three's Company" and "Taxi" (That episode of Taxi is pretty great, and features a pre-"Magnum, P.I." Tom Selleck)

37. Long John Silver's
38. KMBC Channel 9 News Bumper

41. Chevrolet Monte Carlo
42. Promo for "The Mysterious World Of The Supernatural: Fact, Fraud or Faith?" (Argh, I want to see this SO bad and probably never will. I'm simply fascinated with documentaries like this from back then, when it seemed like so many people were gullible about the supernatural/bigfoot/various psychic phenomenon crap)

God commercials were just storyboarded and executed so damn well during this era, almost like like "mini-movies".

Battlestar Galactica, my favorite show back when I was kid. Hard to believe it only lasted 1 season. Thank you SCIF for the Reboot.

I remember the Levi's ad. I thought it was nice that the engine had articulated Mallet (Malley) wheels with dual cylinders. It looks like it may have been taken from a Union Pacific "Big Boy" model.

The only thing I remember about Lucan was the 2 hour pilot movie that was shown all the time on WCBS (locally) and TBS often! The series itself didn't last long.

We talked about the Levi's train commercial, but I'm afraid this one isn't the one I saw. The one I saw would have been on TV in the early 80s. It was all CG of a train made of Levi's jeans rushing past a country house of some kind. I just remember seeing it when I was very young and it kept saying "Levi's Levi's Levi's Levi's" instead of making a train sound. It was weird, but if you ever come across it, I'd love to see it again. It would be nice to know I didn't just dream that. lol

10:36 - gone are the days when you could feed an ape a watch to sell your product. I also challenge the statement that the ape put the watch on. His wrist is twice the size of a human.

2:20--What ever happened to Selchow and Righter? We had their version of Parcheesi when I was growing up. If I recall correctly, they specialized in classic board games at that time. 4:17--Pudding in the mix! Pillsbury just isn't what it used to be since it was purchased by General Mills. 10:35--"It takes a licking and keeps on ticking" (Timex) and 11:39--"How does America spell relief? R-O-L-A-I-D-S!" Two of the most iconic advertising slogans from my youth. 13:11--Back when Long John Silver's used "Seafood Shoppe" as part of their branding. There was something I liked about the way their buildings were designed back then, too.

Eight Is Enough-what was going through Nicholas's mind..thankfully he came back at episode's end and did a little music number Lucan-a reboot would be interesting to see KMBC News-those three would feel right at home in a Anchorman movie Starsky & Hutch-woman talking to Hutch was Caren Kaye(of "My Tutor" fame) Pillsbury Plus-cakes so good you can eat them in slow motion Battlestar Galactica-good episode coming next,"The Living Legend"..preferred the original over the reboot version A Question Of Love-i guess that shot of the judge banging the gavel was used as a scene transition Vegas-he was running through the house and jumping in the pool while she was off getting drunk..

This would have been the original "Battlestar Galactica" in its original run! It reran on Me TV a couple years ago as part of their Saturday night science fiction block, but I don't think it's currently on their schedule. I believe this rerun package also included the arguably inferior sequel, "Galactica 1980," but it all reran under the "Battlestar Galactica" banner.
