I think the ad's animation was actually made in 1969. It looks like Robert McKimson at Warner Bros. Animation made it, and the company shut down in 1969, so this would be one of their final works (the studio then reopened in 1980 and is still active today.)

Coyote could never catch, so some people at Chrysler Corp. figured it would be a good name for their new Plymouth muscle car. I personally think the name and the car are my FAVs when it comes to 1960s and 70s muscle cars.

Plymouth's sister company in Chrysler, "Dodge" laughed when they heard Plymouth had named a car after a cartoon character. Plymouth sold more than 45,000 the first year.. Plymouth only asked for permission to build 4,500. Dodge wasn't laughing anymore. 1969 Dodge came out with a 'Superbee' what the hell is a superbee?
