I was in foster care and I lived in a few foster homes because of an abusive situation at home. I'm still in touch with with my last foster mom even after 39 years. I think was her foster daughter for 7 months before moving to a group home for people with epilepsy. I was also her first foster.

My parents adopted me and my sisters as babies- her out of the hospital and me 3 weeks after I was born. I was fortunate enough to have my sister with me, and had a good mother and dad who would try their best to raise me, but more currently my stepdad and mom. Anywho, this video touched very close to home, in many many ways. Thank you!

I am just watching this for the first time. I am a mama of 2 adopted boys. I was raised or saved by by my aunt and uncle and I have worked in crisis intervention. This is a crisis in Canada and the USA. We just had a 16 year old his name is Ocean die in the care of ministry he was in a foster care home he wrote a letter of complaint on his care and now he is dead. We must speak AND OFFER A HAND UP ALL HUMANS MATTERS .

I like that ending especially the part where she kicked the bully the cop said hey don't do that and gave a smile and a wink saying go ahead your good. Love the story also love how the cop helped her out.

I too was in the foster care system and was tossed around in the system it was not until I was 15 that I finally landed into a good home that loved me and cared for me. They taught me so much. I miss them both my pops passed in 2006 and my mom passed in October. 💔😢😭

I'm very happy for you gotten adopted. If I could, I would. Real parents are whoever raise you with all their love and instill proper morals in you. And your kids do not have to be blood to be your own kids. It's not the kids' fault parents either abandoned them or are orphaned or half orphaned. Though I will say there are a few kids out their needing new homes because they are more unruly than bio parents can handle, so parents seek help. Or there are single parents who health is poor, like cancer, and are forced to give up their children so they have better.

That’s not normal..

The police officer is so honest and true. He said “I grew up in foster care.” “I’m not gonna chase you because I’ve been in the same position as you” that’s what he said. But he was nice enough to adopt her and raise the girl himand hiswife!!!

Except that there is no flashback unlike in Dhar Mann wherein the character would say "you see" and a flashback of his or her backstory would start playing
