great tips! You can also put some ink on the mat, spritz it with some water and lay your watercolour paper down into it and smoosh it around to create lovely watercolour backgrounds without using a brush. nice way to use up the left over ink on the mat rather than wasting it by just wiping it off :)

For the gluing technique I use the oven lining sheet, non-stick, and when the glue dries on it, I just scrap it off with my finger nail. I use a silicon layer on top of my glass mat at the moment, inking on it and so on. The benefit is that the glass mat doesn't reflect too much into my eyes from the lamp above it.

Thank you for the tip using the makeup sponge with glue. I do use the mat for hot gluing and E6000, since they will not stick on it. Clean up is so easy.

Hello! These are brilliant. I wish I'd known about the gluing on of the intricate die Cuts before I went to my stamping Workshop tonight. Boy do I hate working with those. Have you seen any videos where people use the mat 2 create mirror images? It's awesome! Cheers!

Great tips! I also use it in my Stamparatus for mirror images. Just wish the silicone mat were a little bit bigger; more like the standard or 12”x12” Card stock.

What is the complete name of this mat? And, where did you get it? When I look up "silicone mats", I get the kind used for baking. Not the same thing. Thanks! NEVER MIND....this is a Stampin' Up product that is no longer available.

you can use it to reverse stamp too! Don't waste that ink. Spritz with water and drag paper through it for a cool background.

I stead of picking up your flower to get all the petals covered, turn the mat!

How do you deal with the fact that that card you spent so much time on is going to be thrown away?

You could of use the sponge on the blue circle.
