I am very cautious with trusting. I have been bullied for 5 years in elementary school and I don’t want to be bullied again. 2 girls once suddenly confronted me and asked a lot of questions about me. No personal ones, just my name, hobbies and likes. But there was one that was very sus. “Do you hate anyone?”. I said someone they were friends with, and normally I would already don’t trust them. I shrugged it off a bit, but never fully did. Next day they ask more questions about me and one was “You like K-Pop, right? Which artists?”. I said BTS, because they’re my favourite band out of all. They said they think that they could die. I was playing it cool, but literally died from inside. A lot of other people came then surrounding us. Since I feel uncomfortable with a lot of strangers, I ran off to the toilet to see what they would do. I was waiting for a long time, then they came in and said: “Where are you?”. They laughed, and I assumed they laughed at me. They came 3 more times and I immediately ran outside when they weren’t there anymore. I walked around the school to make sure they didn’t follow me, and went inside again as soon as next period started. Next day they followed me outside when I was with my friends and were annoying us. I firstly just ignored them, but after some time I said “Hey bitch”. They were so mad, it was kinda funny how they took it. We argued a LONG time and I soon just said: “You know what? I’m going inside, you’re wasting my time.”. They were so shook XD. I immediately told one of my favourite teachers so they couldn’t frame me. She talked with them and said that they need to let me in peace, then nothing will happen. If they would still annoy me, I could go to her again. They stopped, but I still think they are trying something. I hope nothing goes wrong...

I tend to be two-faced not for my own image, but for the happiness of others. If I find something that makes someone I care about happy, I’ll change the way I behave to make them happy. I feel as though my existence serves no purpose than to please others. I’ll act like a sweet kid around my parents so they’re happy. I’ll act however my partner wants to make them happy. I know that everyone would be less happy if I was my authentic self. And at this point I’m so far away from that, I’ve forgotten what I really even am. I feel so meaningless. Nobody likes me, they like the me I’ve created to please them. There’s barely anything left of the real me. I feel so empty.

That's funny, this video popped up in my feed shortly after a "friend" burned her bridges with an entire group I'm with, just because many started to speak up against her selfish and self-serving behaviors that were actively hurting everyone else. She didn't claim even the slightest bit when it comes to personal faults and thinks everyone else wronged her.

I think it's just normal to commit some of these sometimes 'cause nobody is perfect anyway. Especially venting out your frustrations about someone else to your confidantes. 'Cause as your channel had said many times, narcissistic people exists. You'll never win even if you confront them. So I think it's healthier to let your anger out than bottle your emotions up.

My former boss fit the "lack of empathy" description to a T. A lot of people quit suddenly and she always had an explanation of why it was that person's fault that they couldn't "handle" it. Nothing was ever her fault. There was always someone who had "done her wrong". I can't believe I actually believed her. I still feel like an idiot.

I used to have a "good" friend (I thought we were good friends) who scarily hit every points mentioned in this video. I trusted her for so long and got stabbed so many times, not until last year that I realize she doesn't deserve my trust. One of the reason why I still try to trust her so much is that I developed a feeling toward her. It was the hardest time I ever been thru in my life. There were so up, but she will never show empathy or care about my feelings. She is the one that says "you are my friend" when she needs something, but also says "why are you so fragile with your feeling" when she hurt you. I am so happy that I've got over her now. These kind of people are really dangerous for your mental health.

I remember trusting two people in high school that I regret trusting (and who still occasionally haunt my dreams to this day ten years later). Long story short: it was drilled into my head throughout my school years that explicitly asking about sex and anything related was an absolute taboo that would get you (especially if male) labelled a pervert for even the slightest question on the topic. But the two people who I made the mistake of trusting were two girls who weren't shy about the topic, so in time I felt I could trust them with issues I couldn't trust to the outside world. And after a very long time (almost spanning a few years) of me confiding my doubts on the subject with them, they then turn around and blab to the whole grade (which was admittedly small due to me being in a private school operating out of a house), and I was made to feel humiliated for the rest of the day. Today, if a woman I know starts making any gesture that could be considered sexual in nature (such as swaying their hips side-to-side repeatedly), my first instinct is to yell "What the hell are you trying to pull?!" and rescind the trust placed in that person.

No, we're not perfect but some people are not good and have bad intentions. I really dislike people who take advantage of people or use them for their own personal gain. Narcissists do stuff like that. Those seven signs are absolutely right! We must protect ourselves and KNOW who's genuine and who's not. I enjoyed this video. Keep up the amazing work!

I know people in their 70s who had just barely realised that their partner in marriage doesn't love them & couldn't care less about them from over 50 years of marriage they've been together.. he just realised this.. never paid attention to the signs.. never read between the lines.. never understood double talks.. never questioned strange behaviors.. just blindly giving all of his trust from day 1.. now he is critically depressed & dying of old age with all sorts of illnesses.. plus all of his children turned out the same as their mother & they love her more than him & actually threatened him they'll kick him out of the house if he tries to remarry someone else or bring a helper or a nurse for his needs.. that's my uncle & his "family" Life can be cruel for the ignorant.. & a blessing for the wise

He was almost a bit *too* nice, but I didnt think of that back then. He hated it when other people would join us, even in online games. He screamed at them to leave and then became like an angel to me. My feelings started to drift away from him. He notice that and he started to make up more excuses to be with me. he started using me. It was terrible. Finally I had enough. I stood up to him and told him off. He backed off after, but my feelings were not entirely dead. I shared every thing with him because I trusted him. And he broke me So I don't really trust easily anymore. Sorry if it's a lot of typing Just my story in case you read it ✨

3:51 so I do this actually and for me personally I act a lot more like who I am with just one person because I feel a lot more comfortable around just one person then when it comes to a group of people I feel more pressured? I guess it’s kind of complicated I don’t really know how not to be two faced when it comes to that

what if i’ve been through traumatizing things that make me naturally do some of these things due to trust issues and things like that...? don’t get me wrong, when i care about somebody i honestly care about them and i would always put them first and always be there for them, but with people that i don’t care about, i wouldn’t hurt them cause i have no reason too and even if i did it’s not my place, but if they just so happen to get hurt by somebody else, i always put myself first and i don’t care if their feelings get hurt, it’s not my problem and it’s none of my business... does this make me a bad person...?

Spread secrets, talk badly to others, lack of self awareness, lack empathy, can't make up their own minds, don't take 'No' for answers, act differently around others... Yup. Sounds like my late grandmother to me. And the worst is some of my ex-best friends had these traits to. 🙄🙄🙄 Well, some of it probably my fault too that they don't wanted to be my friends anymore. However, mostly they did it because of how they act. And because of that too, I had trust issues with people. 😩😩😩 I need to change it, so I can trust someone again

Reminds me of my ex best friend of many years, current roommate and coworker at the time. She stabbed me in the back to get revenge. Reported me at work for false accusations and while they investigated I was let go from my job. She admitted to wanting revenge and said she didn’t care what happened to me. I never felt so betrayed. The hardest part is letting go and moving on. She wasn’t a good friend to me but I remember the good times and miss her. I still truly care for her and wish things could be repaired or turned out differently. I wish I didn’t care so much but I’m a HSP so I can’t help it.

Oh goodness, the last one reminds me of the last man I dated. I stayed for a while because I felt empathy for his insecurities and tried to encourage him to be himself with others, thinking if I could show him I was safe he'd be more honest. At first he was, but eventually his compulsion to hide his true self and perform for others meant he started trying to hide our relationship with people he feared wouldn't approve... Big time ouch. I'm glad he eventually told me he didn't love me in the way he needed to marry me. Though I felt hurt and staying away felt painful, it was a good opportunity to let go of someone who couldn't really be trusted. Thank you for this video. It is helping me put it all in better perspective. Of course, I had my challenges too and made choices I probably won't make again in reaction to being hidden and him being kinda fake. But this helps me see how to avoid being in that kind of situation in the first place. Thanks again!
