I don’t know why you need the mod PODGE at all…the top coat of epoxy should be fine. Super cool tattoos! Thanks!

Hi.. I'm new here and I would like to say this is a great idea! What others don't seem to get, everyone has to make the fails to get to something truly extraordinary. Keep up the good work!

The ones that didn't come out perfectly for you can't be called failures. They are just parts of the experience, and a big part of the learning curve. Thanks for sharing those with us, and thank you for the video.

Pour the polyethylene from the side of the bottle not from the front. It won’t spill out like that and you have more control of the resin coming out of the jug.

Lovely! No need for the mod podge...just a top coat

Why the mod podge? Always cut off the extra numbers. Love the tree!

Did you try using a heat gun to warm it,then something heavy on top to take the warp out? It should work if it hasn’t sat too long before doing it…Love the work, and that’s how we learn..Even the most experienced person makes “perfectly imperfect” work…❤

No, I need to invest in a heat gun so I can do some ocean scenes with mermaids!! but I will definitely keep that in mind for when I do! thank you so much.

Why did you use the mod podge? the resin should be enough.

The Mod Podge seals the tattoo so it doesn't dissolve or shift while the resin is curing. I've seen a couple of other videos where a sealer was used to ensure this, but I never thought of trying it without it. That would be a good experiment to test that out.

@@MidnightFantasyCreation Definitely don't need the Mod Podge layer before top coating in clear resin. And it turned out beautifully!! Much love from Brisbane, Australia.

If you're top coating it with epoxy, you shouldn't need to mod podge it.

Polyurethane should not warp like….pour a little more in your mold….you are learning what to do and what not to do….they do tell you how long to stir it….I messed up a few pieces

Using mod podge is just like covering it in Elmer's glue. It is not very durable. I don't understand why you wouldn't use a resin top coat on a resin item. I wouldn't buy it.

That’s fine with me especially since it’s not for sale for that reason. But thanks for you opinion, I appreciate it. And at the time I made it I didn’t know there was a resin sealer but I have been using them since I found them.

Wow @antidvdi I think they got that the mod Podge was a bad idea by now with all the comments you clearly didn’t read. And no one ever said you had to by them. By the looks of it, you really didn’t pay attention they’re not for sale until they have fix the issue and they have been made better. You don’t need to be rude about it. Enjoy the video for what it is. Education for the beginners in the same boat so they don’t make the same mistakes.
