Ғылым және технология

You are more than a grade. A Low G.P.A. doesn't define who YOU are. Wali Khan, BSN, RN, SRNA has overcome many challenges throughout nursing school and life - he is now a student Nurse Anesthetist and interviews incoming candidates at his university. In this guide, he discusses how to strengthen your CRNA application, even if you have bad grades.

If you have a low gpa boost your resume with experience, get a decent gre score, and if you get an interview crush it. You will get in. I had a 3.0 gpa but worked in icu for 8 years and just passed boards last week. Don’t let a low gpa stop you from taking a chance because it will be the best decision you ever made!

Dude, that was an outstanding video… I’m in a totally different vocation but can tell that you are beyond squared-away and deserve to be working at that level of nursing. With that level of communication skills, you need to run for president lol I’m just here checking out nursing videos because my wife is interested in CRNA schooling. Glad I came across this one.

@@JacksonNotJaxon You are able to apply at the nursing program at the same place you took your prerequisites at. That is if they’ll accept you. Nursing programs are known to be competitive so I would recommend to apply to at least a couple of nursing programs once you’ve completed your prerequisites.Hope this helps:)

“That’s what our profession is about; it’s about giving back to people...” exactly, which is why this career is exhausting and I don’t have the capacity to utilize my time off work to volunteer or perform community service. I wish I could say I had it in me but after working through a pandemic I am fully spent. Additionally, for those facing financial burden such as student loan debt, it would make sense if that person chooses to work overtime instead of volunteering their time. Honest question: do application review committees recognize this?

Spot on! . It is not selfish to take care of yourself first and have some downtime. We cant help others if we are not healthy mentally, physically, psychologically. The profession itself is already giving of ourselves. The pay does not reflect the pricelessness of what we do when we are being empathetic with our patients and co workers. That is why many nurses are burnt out. Not volunteering does not mean we are not giving back to community. We are giving it our all when we are on duty and that is not quantifiable with the hourly rate. Unless you are a nurse that treats your patients as a number instead if a human being, this profession is a charity work everyday at work.

As a ACNP of two years. I dread going back to school but lately I feel like I could do better. Way back when CRNA was an option I considered but due to being a single mother of two I chose a somewhat less chaotic ACNP. Kids are growing up and don’t need me around as much so now I’m second guessing myself on what I want for my education 🤔do I or do I make peace with what I got?

Interesting to get into medical school you pretty much need to a 4.0 (from a good university) and kill the MCAT (91 percent or better) . And to get anesthesia you must score top in your medical school class. There is No chance you are getting into medical school with a 3.0 let alone a even a 3.5 gpa
