In watchdogs you are in the middle of a gun fight with guards, you make their phones ring and they answer it, I mean, i know you may have a booty call but there's a guy shooting at you.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. When you’re in the middle of a naval battle against 2 ships and you’re low on health, just beat one of the ships, board it, conquer it, and use it repair your ship while the other ship just says “Yeah cool. Just take your time and we’ll resume fighting when you’re ok”. Convenient video game logic XD.

One video logic thing that always helps me out is that you can buy maps from vendors that show the location of loot chests and other collectibles in an Open World game. Someone took the time to travel the lands and locate these objects on a map for you but didn't bother taking it themselves?

Oblivion's persuasion minigame is the wierdest, there's basically four options; admire, joke, coerce and boast and a fifth option of just giving them money. Evey npc in the game will love, like, dislike and hate each of the options and you need to spin this wheel of varying effectines and select the positive ones.

Let's do be honest; if the merchant in your video game felt like it, they could be the main villain, or even the bonus boss... Just think about it; not only can the merchant get through any dungeon in the game _way_ faster than you can, (as evidenced by the fact that they're always ahead of you,) they also have access to an infinite supply of healing items, accessories that allow them to specc themselves in order to specifically neutralize everything you can throw at them, and they'll eventually reveal that they've got the best sellable armor and weapons in the game in limitless quantities, too... Heck, sometimes we even get some hints of the merchants' invincibility. For example, how many times have you met a merchant who seems worried by the immediate presence of an omnicidal, world-ending villain? A lot of times? Then why do they still insist on demanding payment for their wares? If the villain reaches the merchant or succeeds with their goal, then the merchant's money will be worthless, so ensuring that the hero is properly equipped should be of greater priority, right? _Unless_ the merchant actually doesn't feel in the least bit threatened by the omnicidal, world-ending villain and/or his goals that is... Frankly speaking, I think we're lucky that the merchants seem more interested in just living out their lives as humble merchants that take all our money instead of actually doing anything with all of their obvious power and influence... That said, now I really want a video game in which it turns out that the merchant was the villain all along.

Videogame logic - Enemies that assume an arrow in their friend's head must have been put there by the wind if they can't find anyone nearby. Number 4 was best played with in Monkey Island where Guybrush is tied to a weight then thrown in the sea with a number of rope cutting items juuuust out of reach. The solution - _put the heavy weight in his pocket so it no longer weighs anything..._

Alex Watzek haha! For sure. But think of it this way. The reason MGS makes it into many example videos is because the series has always been very diverse. In this instance it is a good example of stealth logic. But MGS had it in the 90s and it gets crazier every time. If you've never played a MGS game I would recommend at least giving it a shot. Play them in relase order is fine. But chronologically they go (main stream nbrd versions anyway) mgs3: snake eater (my personal fav), mgs5 (save for last though.... a ton of spoilers if u haven't kept with the stoey thus far), mgs1 (orig psx), mgs2, mgs4. I'd recommend doing 3, 1, 2, 4, 5. I know it sounds weird. But the story IS Hideo Kojima's creation so... its a bit convoluted. Going this way you'll be able to get everything out of the series and maybe appreciate it. Cheers mate!

Raymond V.M - I hear ya... but if I can respectfully counter? The release order works for ppl that PLAYED the games on release. So we were already familiar. I suppose you have a point though. Playing as they were released is how fans of the series learned everything. So... there ya go! Two options. No matter what.. PLAY IT!!! - Thanks Ray for your insight.

Actually in Skyrim some enemies use health potions mid fight. It’s like when you use a potion through the menu; it freezes time and when you exit the menu time continues and to your enemies it’s like you were instantly healed. That’s why when an enemy instantly gets health back without using a spell; it’s like they’re going through their menu, freezing time for them.

Arma still has a lot of video game logic and generally unrealistic things. Ever seen a tank suddenly start rolling onto its side, as if it was hit by an explosion, and yet nothing exploded, and the tank wasn’t even moving? How about someone who got hit by a rocket getting right back up after someone helps them for 10 seconds? Using a single first aid kit to heal almost all nonfatal injuries? Having an infinite amount of supplies from a medkit? Making a vehicle that had all of its wheels shot with a rocket drivable again? Someone being entirely unable to jump? Not being able to shoot through thin wood, even with explosives? Et cetera.

This channel has become one of my favorite. The highlight of my week is Rob's Friday feature which is why it sucks when you guys go off to game conferences - No Friday feature :( . What I like most about Rob's stories is when he talks about his days as a young gamer and how his family played a special part of his gaming memories. This makes me think back to my gaming memories as a young kid. I think a cool idea would be for the crew to have their families on the show and give us a sort of back story to what Rob, Nathan, Hollie and Dave were like as young gamers. I for one think it would be cool to hear Rob's dad's thoughts on him playing Metal Gear Solid.

I remember in Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion that, if you drank too many potions in too short a time the game will actually stop you from doing so. So I opted an alternate strategy, go far enough away from enemies that it is considered safe, use the wait function to wait an hour, then go back with my health full and potions activated. The enemies don't even move when you do so. Yeah, this was back when I wasn't good at games so I found the best ways to game the system.

creeper slasher he's honestly my favorite villain ever. His whole "be careful what you wish for" gimmick. The way he steeples his fingers in front of him. His unassuming mannerisms even though he's pretty much an evil god. And good lord, but I could listen to his voice for hours. What a character.

On the topic of pausing the video game world to prevent a fatal blow, I cannot even BEGIN to tell you how many times that I died in Fallout 4 because of the animation involved in giving yourself a stimpack, or even I was taking damage faster than anything could heal me because all Fallout 4 healing items do it over a short period of time. But it did add an additional level of difficulty, immersion, and realism to the game, and I love it😂

An example I came up with was insane/extreme healing tactics video game characters use. Like examples from games like Far Cry 3 and 4 where the protag just...pulls bullets/claws out of their arm, cracks bones into place, stab chest with a syringe, and burns deep wounds/missing flesh shut. I'm sure many other games do this (like REVII comes to mind as well) but I think the Far Cry series makes it so insane when healing the character that it just makes me laugh almost every time. Healing was technically listed already but for pausing the game to do so. I can never get over the healing animations in some games but enjoy seeing them all the same. That over the top way to heal just is so absurd that it had to be intentionally so lol

For me it's a habit that I get from the beginning of the game, looting every single thing no matter it's worth as long as I get atleast 1 gold from each item and it ends up following me for the rest of the game. They normally stack up because I end up forgetting to sell 'em when I sell everything else

I know, once I get to the point where I could craft decent weapons and jewelry+Enchanting them all for leveling and selling(mainly for leveling my Smithing and Enchanting, tons of gold off of enchanted Jewelry and Dwarven Bows is just a bonus for me) I'd have no need to loot anything at all since I could usually wipe out every vendor's gold in whichever town I'm in with each haul but I'd still loot everything I can, it's a habit and gives each dungeon a little more incentive to explore after you've visited it multiple times already.

I still have the habit to grab food inn elder scrolls sinch inn Oblivion, food was used inn alchemy, yes even cheese, tomatos, bread amd everything else not used as anything inn skyrim, made myself a potent poisem by adding an poismed apple, wich you can duplicate with a glitch that involves the spell scrolls if you have all DLC's, without you can drop the item and fast shoot it with an arrow, but found out it's not good to go above 200 duplicates each time, can also be used on all other items, so..... Money will never be an issue inn oblivion that way

My logic for weight limit capacity isn't that the weight is based on what the character can carry but the amount the bag can hold without tearing, and you walk all wonky because you are desperately trying to balance the bag in such a way that it doesn't tear apart lol

Final Fantasy VIII is the only one in the series with an explanation for how the party can carry so much stuff. The Guardian Forces carry it all for you with the same power they use to live in your head without it exploding into a gory mess, that's why Item was a command you need to equip.

Your characters default movement speed is running at all times without becoming completely exhausted. 4. Reloading a full clip after firing only a single shot and not losing any ammo. 5. Instantly healing after tending to a major injury (broken bone, gunshot wound, ext) 6. Cars don't use gas, and character doesn't eat food. 7. Money is just lying around the map and respawns when you leave and reenter.

  • @Alynnaeva

#7 is explained by Reccetear, where you play as that merchant who owns all the weapons. You "hire" adventurers to go into the dungeons, where while they go around killing everything, nothing targets you, you know the one carrying all that loot, with invulnerability, and an emergency teleport out if the hero gets hurt. You follow the adventurer around, stand off to the side shouting helpful advice and tossing food at them when they are in boss battles, picking everything up to take back to your store. The hero doesnt even get anything, you just lent him the gear he is using, unless he buys it before hand. Taking the class merchant in an RPG is the greatest class ever. You never get any aggro, you can teleport to the next floor - the PCs pick up all the junk for you while you grab the one thing they need, then you trade that one upgrade for the weapon at ridiculous price, and get all the actually valuable stuff for super cheap. They have the ultimate diplomatic immunity. And if there is a series of merchants - they all can tell when one of them has been stolen from or murdered and can wreck the hero if they want.
