This man needs more recognition... I've been watching this channel for around a year now and the quality of the videos is on point, they keep me engaged until the very end. They've also helped me to get into planespotting myself! I have no idea how he doesn't have at least 1m subs, as the quality of these is something I'd expect from someone much more well-known. Keep it up!

Very good Basics of Planespotting Fundamentals!! 👍 Obviously but hidden in these 'things you need' is 💲💲💲💲💲 and plenty of it. In general, photography is not cheap, even though and as you mentioned, one can still start with just their cellphone and free editing programs on your computer or operating system. This assumes your goal is to produce pictures / video equivalent to the 'onemoreweektogo' channel. 😁 However, sometimes its just plain 'Luck' that's needed. You just happen to be in the right place at the right time to capture that Iconic image or video clip. Which means you need to be out there ready to snap the shutter or hit that record button when the time comes. Glad to see the Intro back. Nice video. Cheers 🥂

Thank you! Unfortunately as with many things in life, some initial investment is required. However, I do think it's one of the better things you can throw your money at! You can also produce some very high quality content with relatively cheaper equipment. Much of my gear have been upgraded slowly over time! I also agree that a lot of photography is right time right place - I've certainly had a few of those moments myself! Glad you enjoyed the return of the intro :) I'll be keeping it moving forward.

Also in my bagpack a spotting scope, aviation radio scanner, safety vest, ear protection in form of ear defenders/custom made earplugs, lens brush and rocket blower, micro fiber towel and a silicagel bag ment for cars to keep moisture at low level in the bagpack. Thank you very much for the video and it is super helpful. I need a suggestion from you. I have Nikon D750 and 200-500 mm heavy lens. When i roll the camera along with the plane, i get sweep action but not the smooth movement. How do i avoid this issue? I have pretty good heavy duty tripod, but may be due to the movement with my hands, i get shaky videos and i feel so upset when i see them on the big screen.
Do you have a video on what are optimal settings for video mode? For the A7SIII

Excellent video! I just wanted to mention 2 things: 1. Flightradar24 does track some military aircraft. Not always but you can spot some here in the US. 2. I think I did not heard you recommending shooting in .raw format.

Thanks! Good to know about FlightRadar. I personally don't do much military spotting so I wasn't aware. I didn't mention RAW as I wasn't 100% sure all beginner cameras support it, but yes if your camera can shoot raw, definitely shoot raw!

Is a nikon d3300 good for plane spoting.If no can you please suggest a better one at the same price?Thx
Would a nikon D5100 18-55mm lens camera be good for plane spotting?
Like the video, thumb up. But: 1:50, what are the pros of DSLR over MILC? Frankly, if you are being a new camera today, I cannot imagine that you would go with DSLR (maybe except the price, but in general everything that is older and worst is cheaper)
I have a Canon 6D and a 70-300mm IS f/4-5.6. I’d like to get a better lens, I was thinking about a 70-200mm F/2.8L IS III USM. Do you think it’s a good choice?
What do you think a good camera for aviation photography and videography is for my aviation KZread channel I want a camera that I can use for photography and videography so I can take thumbnail photos and good quality videos.
hey i was thinking about getting a 400mm prime lens from canon to go with my 7d mk 2 for aviation photography but im having second thoughts do you think i should get a zoom or a prime for airshows?
@onemoreweektogo
10 ай бұрын
I personally think zooms are more versatile and also easier to carry around. The 400 prime is an awesome lens but it is a bit limiting in terms of the inability to zoom. I think having a zoom would allow you to get more variation of shots. Unless you can afford to get both a zoom and a prime, haha.
I have my mums old canon 450d that 20 years old. Need a new camera body but still get AMAZING shots
im thinking about getting the canon eos m50, with a 55-200mm lens, will this be ok for upclsoe spotting, like spotting at spottijg areas at the actual airport?

Nice video! I just Wanna Buy a nikon P1000 bcs isnt that expensive, i dont need to buy a lens, is compact and the zoom is amazing, 125X.
Can you please do a video for videography of planes?
A radio is also useful. You can listen to the tower's conversations legally but you cannot talk to them. You can get info on the incoming planes and the planes that are going to take off. A radio such as the UV-5R is cheap and has a good sound quality for listening. By the way, talking on a radio has its consequences, you need a license unless you are talking on a license free frequency such as 446 for the UK. This is why you cannot talk to the tower because you do not have a license for that frequency.
Should you recommended the FZ82?

I want to avoid bringing a ladder but are there cameras and/or lenses shoot through fence like it's not there?
@onemoreweektogo
Жыл бұрын
Fence is always annoying no matter the camera/lens, but a few things you can consider to improve that experience: - Use a lens with a small diameter (usually crop lenses are better for this) so they fit within the fence holes. - put your lens as close as possible against the fence while shooting. - use the widest aperture (lowest f-stop number). This will help blur the fence vignette a bit and make it easier to work with in post.
is a 50-135mm lens good for plane spotting
@onemoreweektogo

It's a useful lens for spotting, especially if you can get closer to the planes. But for farther shots, you'll need something with a bit more zoom like a 300 or 400mm.

Hey Ryan! I think that's a perfect starter camera! It's a bridge camera so it's got a lot of built in zoom, equivalent to a range of 25mm-600mm. That's perfectly suited for plane-spotting. For the price, it is a very capable camera. That way you don't also need to spend on different lenses and have everything in one package! Go for it!
