I really like your channel as I’ve lived here in Nice, France for 2yrs and studied French in the United States for 5yrs. I workout regularly, so the reduction in sugar is amazing when it comes to pastries. What I like about the french government is they regulate and advise on their commercials the proper amount of sugar intake is important to your health. The United States has real problem with heavy sugar to keep people addicted. Anyhow… I love your channel and I’m wishing you the best of 2024

    1. When I visited Paris once during June I was surprised the sun did not set 14:52 until around 10 pm. 2. I can relate to the frenzy over Nutella. For me it tastes sooo good! But I have to refrain from buying it because it’s so addictive for me. 3. Did not know about the wind! 4. Was surprised to learn the French start out saying no or impossible first and to be persuaded into a yes. Great video Patricia! Thanks!!!

When I lived in the Czech Republic, butter (Maslo) went on sale. There was a virtual stampede and people fought over it. I was very surprised. I guess real butter is something of a luxury there. It made me sad, because I only use real butter all the time. I'm sorry the people there would feel the need to fight over butter.

Hi Patricia. Ironically I JUST got back from a bus trip-exited from the back door, waved at the woman driving, and she honked at me. So it does happen. Trying to save every penny for this move, so I didn’t want to drive. And we’re in the ghettoist part of the ghettoist city, of all the ghettos that you know. And this is coming from somebody who went to VCU in the 80’s hahaha. You know, I just started recently going through your videos. I had seen you a few years ago being interviewed by a sister whose whole channel is women moving abroad. And I’ve been working on it for SIX YEARS. I had also seen Taffanie up in Paris, but I forgot about you--because I was focused on Portugal--and then I REALLY looked into that, and put the brakes on it. Anyway, I was SUPPOSED to move to the Alps region just this past Oct., but it fell apart. 8 days before the move. But I thank you for the enormous amount of work and information you've put into the channel--even for us non-women. I saw you posted an interview with Valerie, and I’d been emailing with her these last 2 years trying to figure how to get things straight with my tax plan. But hadn't done a booked session until I was on the ground. Last thing. I like saving money wherever I can. For ex., on that bus trip today, it was to the pharmacy, and I used the Obama plan, so no cost! Not everybody can do it though, but I’m a paperwork person, so hopefully it’ll prepare me for what’s ahead…

Feel free to schedule a complimentary call with me if you think that could help you get things back on track. Thanks for watching and I wish you all the best.

I had never heard of Nutella until I was in France and I had a crepe with Nutella. I loved it, but it's very high in fat and sugar so I try not to eat it very much. But it’s funny to compare Paris, where people travelling through public transportation stay distant and silent most of the time when it’s noisy and full of talks in the South of France!

When I was living in a small village in the north of France , people would say bonjour to each other when walking pass just out of politeness. In Grenoble it’s not recommended as it can be taken the wrong way regardless if pass each other in the streets a few times a week. So some people I do just say hello and others I don’t bother because some may mistakenly think that you are looking for some kind of sexual relationship or something. A few people that I used to see at the gym would say hello for a while and then ignore you or give a dirty look. However, people in Grenoble are rude, cold and miserable to say the least. In the shops they say hello and good bye but some sales staff will just disengage as soon as they know you will not purchase anything.

FR : pour l’histoire du remerciement du chauffeur de bus, c’est général. Avoir du respect envers tout le monde peu importe sa classe social. « Si tu veux du respect, il faut respecter les autres. » les français apprennent cela enfant.
